How do you feel about Dancer not being added with this expansion?

I have edited my OP to try and clarify what the post is about and will note where my edits are. This post is about your feelings as well as mine in concern to the topic and hopes for a future release, I know 'feelings' its kinda a girly topic. Some people are 'feelings' based while others are 'factual" thinkers and its this difference that can cause arguments/debates sometimes that get heated between the 2 sides.

I know it has been one of the big topics in the past months among Dancer fans and would like to know how people feel about it not being added in for this expansion.

Please I ask that people don't simply comment with the 'I told you so' and other comments of the sort. I know not everyone likes the Dancer job but I think the Dev's need to hear from the Dancer fans and how they feel after it wasn't released, hopefully it will be the next job to be released with which ever other job or jobs other people are fans of.

Edit: Just to clarify some things because I desperately want to avoid arguments because I dislike conflict. Everything in my OP is based off my own opinion, what I had been reminded of, and observations I had made on various sources.
I'm not basing anything off 'facts' to try and avoid a conflict of opinion so I will avoid quoting anything that SE Dev team and Yoshi P had said.

Personally I was extremely disappointed it wasn't released with this expansion, I know there will be some that will say that I set myself up for it but in my defense its in human nature to get excited about things that you're interested in there's no avoiding it.

Edit: As I said above its human nature to get excited over things you're passionate about and when things don't happen you do get disappointed, yes there are those out there that just simply don't allow themselves to get excited over something and probably talk themselves down about it until they've gotten more info tho not everyone does that,

I got extremely hyped for it based of a few things as follows:

1. The first trailer for stormblood showed the girl in red dancing at the start of it
Edit: she was dancing a form of dance at the start of the trailer before sparing with the WoL

2. The way she was dressed reminded me of a dancer

3. The way she fought looked a bit different than the monk that I had noticed, she did more twirls and somersaults and had even used her sleeve as an extension of herself while fighting. (I know this has been argued before but please lets not bring that argument back to life)
Edit: The way she moved was more elegant and graceful compared to the WoL's movements which struck me as more brutish

4. On the Stormblood page before it was available for pre-order it had said 'new jobs including Red Mage' so the way I had understood that was Red Mage was one of them but that there would be other Jobs to be announced. If they had intended to only release a total of 2 Jobs they should have worded that differently so there was no mistaking it, something like this '2 new Jobs - Red Mage and _______' something like that would have been better and people wouldn't have expected 3 Jobs like with Heavensward.

The newest trailer showcase's Samurai, something people have said they would never do in the expansion trailers. After them 'showcasing' what appeared to be a Dancer job (as myself and others had seen it as in the first trailer) I feel like they slapped me in the face with it by not releasing it, as the Samurai and Red Mage fans would have felt if it had not been released.

Edit: Based off my observations and the girl in red really reminding me of the dnc job from ff XI so it was only natural that I had thought dnc, SE may not have intended for her to remind ppl of a dnc but a lot of ppl had seen her as a dnc or in the very least something more than a simple mnk, again this would be a difference in opinion. As someone had commented about the 'slapped in the face' reference of mine that is how I felt, I'm an extremely sensitive and emotional person I try to keep it under control and often need time to calm down about something. This isn't too bad of a post it would have been a whole lot worse had I made the post when I first felt like that about 3 or 4 days ago.

So ok Dancer wasn't released I'm hoping that it will be one of the next Jobs to get released until then I'll enjoy the new expansion even tho the hype has died for me.

Edit: I have always enjoyed the content and always will, yes the excitement and hype I had felt has died off but that doesn't mean I'm hating the new expansion or the content.

As for all the comments made so far majority of them have been good from both sides and no real arguments have sparked tho I have said/requested a few times through the thread to try and not get argumentative and stating someone is wrong for their opinion can be a huge spark for alot of people which is why I ask to avoid things like that.

Re-Edit: Some posters I noticed I believe may have misunderstood this thread and what I originally asked, to clarify this isn't just for those disappointed that dnc wasn't added it for anyone that wanted to comment about how they felt about dnc not being added. Yes there is alot of posts from disappointed dnc fans but there have also been posts from non dnc fans that were either happy it wasn't released or were in-different to it.

I'm somewhere between disappointed and relieved. I really wanted to play Dancer and was going to stop everything to level it up. So now I can jump into Stormblood.

Well we could argue that the blue mage fans, the beast master fans haven't gotten anything either. We could discuss that for 200+ pages but I don't see the reason in that. All it's gonna do, is spreading negative emotions and that just leads to fights/rage quits, but it won't accomplish anything. I just think, we should appreciate what we've got and enjoy looking at the upcoming interviews, live letters or information we are getting, regarding these new jobs, that's just my personal opinion.

It's fine. Honestly, if anyone really wants to experience the jobs of traditional FF in an MMORPG format that isn't in XIV, there's always XI.

See all other threads................. Dancer was also a DPS, so if expecting it as healer you could still be disappointed.

I'm indifferent. I had been hoping beyond hope that Samurai or Red Mage would be released in Heavensward, but I had to wait. Looks like you have to keep waiting. Who knows, maybe dancer will be in Stormblood and they're just lying as a smokescreen. After all, no one expected AST until it was revealed close to release.

I would have really liked it, too if Dancer had been added to the new expansion, but at the same time it probably would have been turned into a DPS if that Red Monk character in the first trailer was intended to be one (or if they actually are). But who knows, Dancer may be added in the middle or after Stormblood's main story is over like how Ninja was added in A Realn Reborn. Stormblood may even get a new Tank and Healer class added along side it or may even be one of them, so I'm staying a little hopeful for at least something like that to happen! ^^

Ok I'll take this by number because Dancer was never going to be a thing and I'm actually overjoyed that it's not a thing for this expansion because of these reasons.

1. She was not dancing. She was preforming martial arts Katas. Some are in fact very graceful and preformed slowly. They are used to increase strength and balance.

2. While it may remind you of a dancer, it's likely a very Ala Mhigan way of dressing.

3. This was proven false. In fact many monk players recognized many moves she used as Pugilist and Monk specific. Including Featherfoot.

4. They worded it just fine. New jobs = more than one. And Red mage was one of those more than one jobs. They clearly did not want to spoil that we were only getting two jobs this expansion.

And they haven't broken the tradition. They did NOT release the section containing a Samurai until after Samurai was announced. There was no slap in the face, no bait and switch, just people reading what they wanted into a character even after they told by numerous people that this woman was a monk, hyping themselves up into a frothing mass only to get disappointed because what they thought they saw wasn't what they saw.
