And how exactly is that different from how things are now?

I really think the potion isn't a bad thing. The story is so long, and newer players would be overwhelmed by the immense amount of quests from 2.0 onwards (this happened when new ppl wanted to play the 3.0 classes), so it seems necessary.

We'll see what happens when it happens, but so far it seems promising.

The way I'd implement it, would be to make you have to level one job normally, and then you could use the jump potion. But, you would not skip any content, and would have to clear all of that roles tests in the hall of novice in order to do group content as that role, and would also have to clear that class/job's job quests up to the level of the content you are trying to queue for, in order to be able to. Level 60 would still be the maximum you could go to, but at least you'd get some experience before going into the new leveling content.

No, this is exactly why these potions shouldn't exist. It's a Final Fantasy game first and foremost. The story is therefor the most important aspect. If you don't like that, <kupo> off and play something that doesn't have a story.

Most important part to who. I just wanna do dungeons and group content, not everyone plays MMO for story. Not to mention HALF the lvl 50 MSQ is teleport here talk to this person and then teleport back. Most of the quest are so dumb. If they don't introduce jump potions, newer players won't join. I should be enjoying lvl 50 dungeons and primals but I'm just teleporting around from place to place talking to people. . Once you hit 50 you should be able to go to heaven-sword there is no way new people will play if they have to go threw 2 MSQ. I am glad you love the story that much.

You can still play the story if you want. It's not going any where. You shouldn't be forced to.
