For me at least, the level grind from 1-50 feels painfully, mind-numbingly slow, and the ability to at least skip that I would wholeheartedly welcome. As for learning to play the class, I really never got that from leveling, it was more looking it up after the fact rather than while leveling, would be nice if job quests were a bit more comprehensive in teaching each class. Anywho just my two cents.
This defeats the entire purpose of implementing one. Some people simply aren't interested in slogging through the 500+ quests just to unlock Stormblood. You cannot exact new players to want to push through two expansions worth of old content so they can actually see where everyone is. If they did impose this restriction, all someone has to do is jump into PotD, spam it for a couple hours and they'll be level 60 in a day. Now go buy that potion since you didn't want to do the story anyway.

From what I've Hearn from posts the dev team and Yoshi P have posted the jumps potions won't be cheap to buy to try and deter too many people from doing it.

As others have said it really doesn't matter how ppl lv their jobs, if they're good they'll learn how to properly play it and if they're a 'poor' player they won't bother to learn the proper rotations. Potd is fairly quick to lv jobs with actually, I've been lving my nin in there and the first few times going through I had no idea what was what with my skills or how to use them properly. I would stay behind after killing the end floor boss and play around with my mudras learning button sequences to preform my mudras. I have also talked to friends in game as well as have looked up guides to make sure I'm using nin to it's fullest. Players that just don't care won't do the research like that and will just hit whatever buttons they choose.

This man's got it. I've got friends on different servers and it's a giant pain to go from having the entire MSQ completed and then swapping over to Sarg and I'm still lv 20.

Prime example actually of this actually.

I did my ex roulette today had myself on blm and another blm as my partner dps, healer was a whm and the tank was a pld. The tank was doing very small pulls and ok fine the run was going to take a little longer than usual no big. After a few pulls I had to check his gear and ok he was mostly equipped with 230 stuff and a few things a little lower ilvl and one accessory at 200. Both me and the other blm had to really slow down our dps and watch how much aggro we were pulling and even then we were pulling mobs off him constantly. He would use flash like once and would maybe use that other aoe one they get at like lv 50, I do know he was not using all his abilities to generate and maintain any level of enimity. One fire 2 would cause mobs icon in the enemy list to go yellow after a second fire 2 they would either go orange or red and they'd come after me, using the old 2.0 rotation would start pulling too much aggro from him.
