[DEV Question] Why is this allowed?

I managed to beat SSS for Sophia EX with an i255 weapon, and literally every other piece of gear below the required ilvl for Sophia, if weapon is so important, why bother farming armor and accessories ?

How high was your HP and how long do you think you'd survive wearing that gear in Sophia EX? Would you be a Glass Cannon (more so than Casters/Healers or anyone with Weakness/Brink) who would die in one-two hits?

It doesn't have to be equalized. Just make weapon damage not 11-20x more important than a primary stat. Right now it's totally absurd.

It's a weapon. The weapon is where most of our damage comes from. Not our armour (though it does add to it). Just make it so that players cannot enter duties if their weapon doesn't match the level of the content.

I wouldn't survive...because I didn't even have the average ilvl to enter Sohia EX. Yet I did enough DPS because I had a higher weapon.

But you wouldn't be able to replicate that in Sophia EX, as you would be dead most of the fight. Now swap that around with being in i255 gear and whatever ilvl your crappy gear was for the weapon. You'll be able to survive, but you go from being a glass cannon to a... well I guess tank stance DPS :I

Barely. My i260 Anima has 65 more points of INT than my i270 gear :T
