Yes but it would at least stop people from cheesing the requirement by using Caster accessories on a MNK etc etc.

That's another point...Since jobs only have one main stat, it should be easy to restrict accessories to the corresponding job in the first place.
And to do the same with gatherer/crafter's gear.

The issue there is glamour/PvP, some fending accessories are BiS for a high-HP build of a DPS or a healer, so that you can survive a LB.
