Okay so I know the DF has rules in place for average item level in order to queue for specific content, but I find what I just saw to be very ridiculous in terms of what the DF will allow players to do.
In case you miss what I mean...basically this....
A9 Normal
Avg Item Level 230
BLM wearing an item level 110 Staff
120 item levels below the average stipulated for the content on the most important piece of gear.
Now yeah...obviously his other gear allows him to boost his item level to be able to queue, but the weapon is not only the most important piece because of Weapon Damage it also has the highest amount of stats of all pieces of gear.
So...idk what do others think? I personally think there needs to be a minimum item level for weapons so you cannot do this...like if a piece of content is avg item level 230 then maybe your weapon must be i200 at least or higher despite if your other pieces of gear are higher and allow you access.
Wearing a level 50 weapon into level 60 end game content is just not right at all.
Now it is possible he switched weapons inside the content, but this also should not be allowed...so maybe something can be done for the future? (Note: To clarify I meant that the game would still allow you to change gear, just not to something way below the item level for the duty)
Here is the quote of the explanation of what I meant, sorry I definitely was not clear enough with my words there :x
PS. according to Lodestone this player has 7 level 60 jobs....so yeah that's sad to note since it is likely they knew what they were doing. :/
Edit:
Also just some factual testing of why weapon is so important that the game should not allow what this BLM did...
