Both of them, although Samurai first since it uses Monk gear and that's what I'm playing right now.

From the day of character creation I knew I would atleast attempt to be a good Red Mage when it came out, been waiting for it for quite some time now. I like how it looks so far but of course we still have much more to see.
Samurai does interest me though...and for some reason I want the majority of any positionals they have to end up being from the front, as well as some skills that work well with parry (maybe even a defensive skill that lets them split damage between them and atleast one other player, most likely the tank.)

SMN will always be my love, butttttt.......
I'll be doing RDM first for sure, I'm quite curious to see how the positional play will work. Given that the current DPS classes are either melee or ranged, I imagine it will have a bit of a learning curve to really be effective.
Definitely not writing off SAM, I just hope the katana designs are up to snuff. I've not really been impressed with a lot of the sword selection, but meh.
+1
chosing between RDM and SAM is getting really tough for me... RDM seems to really suit my likings of playstyle, it looks really interesting being a range/melee hybrid on (most probably magic based stats) but SAM.... hell ya... Sephiroth, Auron, NieR:Automata cosplay glams already rushing through my head... and honestly there just isn't (and ever won't be) any better weapon out there than a real Katana...
the question is not which of these cls to play... but which of them to play first xD

I like spell sword, but I don't like swashbuckler fencing, so RDM is far down the burner for me. SAM however is increasingly getting my interest up and the fact that it'll share striking gear with my MNK is another plus. Nothing like getting a single piece of gear that works across multiple classes.

When I started playing it was because I wanted to play a Red Mage style character but didn't want to go back to 11. I knew that Red Mage had been rumored in the next full expansion so I figured I would give 14 a try and get ready for when it came out if I liked the game. Given that I will probably unlock Red Mage first and play it for a few levels before unlocking Samurai than heading back to Dark Knight to work through the story some more.

Rdm 4 life too....
(if its not a simple blm with drg's jumps and elusive jump ofc..... wich i am VERY afraid of)

As of this moment I have literally zero interest in Samurai. Maybe that will change once released, but I doubt it.
Red Mage looks amazing and might make me switch mains from healing.

I like them both, cant wait to try out, but ever since I started playing FFXIV back in 1.0 I was wishing for samurai to return. Now it is finally happening and I cant wait, June can´t come soon enough, I will keep playing my DRK but will switch to Samurai once the expansion comes out and go through the story as a Samurai.
Later down the road I will pick up Red Mage too.
I can't decide between both but, if something could break the stalemate (apart from playstyle) if the question of the Samurai gets to have this skill I loved in the old RPG: Zenigage (aka. Gil Toss).
What does this skill do? Well, you pick and handful of gil from your purse aaaand you just toss it at enemy's face. You attack with money. You kill with money. You win with money. It's the most troll way to have P2W. And I want it (not that I want to P2W, mind you. Just the ability). Even if it's just a Dagger Throw ripoff. I loved that skill back when I played Final Fantasy V and VI.
