My class skill didn't unlock!?

Steps:
I was completing some main story quests, and then I levelled up to 35, however my Chi skill didn't unlock, so I continued leveling up to see if perhaps the issue would correct itself but it didn't I reached level 36 but the skill remained locked. I then simply proceeded to contacting the support desk, at which point I got redirected to here.

I play on the PS4.

Did you do the job quest? Some skill unlock via the job quests itself, main story quests will never unlock skills.

Sounds like you need to do your job quest.

It's the same for every class/job....you need to follow their questlines in order to access their abilities.
