That does help to show that the O is probably the honorific for king, but even the Japanese text says, Great God: Susanoo, so why is the English different. Anytime his name has been romanized it's always been Susanoo: why should it be different here?
Addition: I check with a Japanese friend who said his name is Susanoo, there are two O's at the end, it's not an honorific. But each translator might translate it differently, and it might of been to avoid sounding like FOOD, though COORDINATION and OOGENESIS, woukd be pronounced the same, so I dunno.
