It has been a long seven years since XIV was released to the world.
As many claim its disasters, and others sing its praises, one thing is undeniable - You have given us memories and years of laughs, tears and love that today you were recognized for in the record books.

As a legacy player, and a fan of XIV and it's many hard working Dev members that have come and gone, I believe everyone who has supported you in this arduous journey will join me in these feelings of being very grateful to you.

I did play XI 9yrs loved it, but my character name was Darkrikku on ifrit then I moved to Levi and Bismarck and changed my name to Ereskigal.

I remember when I first created my second character, a Miqo'te named Keiko Rosengarde, because the Nobuo Uematsu segment of the interview DVD that came with the game asked him which race he would pick and he said Miqo'te (female only at the time). I started her in Limsa since my main started in Gridania, and I remember squinting whenever I would leave the Drowning Wench because of that sunlight effect as the camera "adjusted" to the brighter light. Now she's become my main character.

Through the good and the challenging, Final Fantasy XIV is probably the first MMORPG I've stuck with for so long, and will certainly be a mainstay in my memory of gaming throughout my life.
