The models were designed with existing features already in mind. They're not going to redo every model in the game for a butt slider, so it would end up stretching them. The reason he gave for not adding a butt slider doesn't sit well with me. The textures would get stretched? We already have sliders for other things, including bust, so it's not like there's no way they couldn't make it work. At least he realises there's a demand and said he would look in to it.
Good questions so far, though =)
A Slider does nothing except stretching the Polygons on a Model. It doesn't add any Vertices/Polygons on your Character but like I said stretch it, causing Textures to be stretched in the end which may look ugly.
If you google you can even see in fact that if someone goes over the "Maximum" of the current Breast Slider, the more the Breasts become blocky/edgy.
Armour on Characters would aswell be stretched =P

I don't think they would add giant balloon butts that would actually noticeably distort textures. We're probably all using the same textures anyway, and roe butts are already stretching the texture more than my butt could.A Slider does nothing except stretching the Polygons on a Model. Also I don't think bust sliders effect armor, so I doubt butt sliders would either.
There is more behind it that if I could say so.I don't think they would add giant balloon butts that would actually noticeably distort textures. We're probably all using the same textures anyway, and roe butts are already stretching the texture more than my butt could.

If the Texture Resolution is already low to begin with, espescially since this is an MMORPG, talking about 256x256 if not 512x512 Resolutions, stretching does Indeed result into visible stretched Textures that you can see.
Of course there is more techniques behind Texture Mapping and Rendering in the end, as Players we can only assume how this may work but in the end the Game makes extremely easy use of some techniques that put only low performance requirements on ones Computer.
Bust Slider does adjust several Glamours such as Bikinis or other Glamours, you can see this extremely on Female Roegadyns.
If you meant Gear such as Heavy Armour for Tanks, no it doesn't and I'm glad it's not that way, that truly would look horrible if Metal would deform due of Breast changes.
