I belive I understand what you are trying to say. I can not quite put into words correctly. But, a Dark Knight's theme is to use dark powers to harm your enimes and sheild yourself from harm. They primarly use great swords and their animations reflect that weapon. You can theroreticlly give a blade type weapon to Dark Knight, but the job would not properly utalize the weapon corecctly on the visual side as the job was designed conceptualy to use dark powers and great swords, not bladed weapons.

A Shogun, is to give it more Sengoku styled armor. To use a weapons such as a Nodachi or other weapon, with animaions, skills and effects that shows martial prowes of a fictional Japanese warrior.

Yes, but in the end, we still see this:

Yes, you can go on about how different a Shogun job concept is from our Dark Knight, but in the end, it's still in the same armor as Dark Knight, still has a big sword like Dark Knight, and would still wind up looking like a Dark Knight with a different coat of paint.

No matter what is said, it will always look the same as a Dark Knight, which is all the more reason why we don't have Shogun as a tank, nor should we have it as a tank. That's a good thing too, because it means the next tank can be something different--that's the key word here. Even at just a standing cursory glance, Shogun needs to seem different than Dark Knight, but unless it's wielding something other than a sword, that just won't happen.

I agree, Shogun need to be diffrent then a Dark knight, but just bcause it uses another type of large sword, if it were to, dosent mean its intantly similer to a Dark Knight. Weapons especially sword are often genralized. But in this game they are devided by specifics characeristics. The Palidin uses the short sword, the Red Mage uses a rapier, the Samurai a katana and the Dark Kignt a great sword. All of these may be swords, but are seperated and played diffrently based on the weapons characteristics.

Yes, Shogun would eventuall wear the same armor as Dark Knight, but so will Warrior and Palidins. Each tanks will evntually look the same with similer damage midigation skills, only diffrent effects, but what differs are the weapons, abilitys, animations, buff and debuff, and damage potentail they bring to game.

Again, I am not saying that they must bring Shogun to the game as fast as possible, just in the far future when other high profile jobs are brought in. Then they may begen working on original Jobs. It is not as if they have no idea how to create diffrences or how to make a Job uniquly diffrent this is something they could do.

You can disagree with a Shogun job, I respect your opinion, as I understand your argument. But the idea is to bring a concept to the table and make it unique. Even if at first thought on the table "They are too similer" there is always diffrent ways to make soemething unique.
