I can assure you, youre not the saltiest. I'm considering either quitting the game, or quit tanking to main sam. like ive said before sam being a tank was the reason I kept playing.

I belive a subsantial amount is not very pleased with it beng DPS. The general consensus was that it was going to be a Armored Tank Samurai. They are saying that this version of the samurai is more akin to Ronin or Swordsman.

well hopefully they give a big f u to Yoshi so we can a samurai tank. I really have no interest in what tank they add besides sam. all this talk about balancing the tanks we already have wont change how they play at all tbh.

Since Jobs are defined by weapon, if they could make an armoured Samurai Tank, under the name Shogun, with a different weapon type (Naginata, perhaps?) then I suppose it could work. However, considering how Yoshi didn't want to release SAM directly after NIN in 3.0, such a Job concept would likely only be considered from 6.0 onwards.

Hey, I would love to see PLD be able to drop a shield and add a second sword and become a DPS call.... Sword Saint? But it won't happen here. Once a vibe is set they seem to keep to it. Sorry man.

It is possible to see a duel sword Job but not likly in heavy armor. The game is still young and jobs seems to release based on the theme of the expansion and on the pool of exsisting concepts. Original concepts for a job would have to come after or when the exsistng pool of high profile jobs dwindale. As many have said before, we will not see a Shogun Job for a long time, perhaps 6.0 or 7.0 onwards to be sure or if at all unless a demand for the Job is know to the devs.

Some thinks that there is too many DPS already why add more(DPSはもう多いでしょうなんでまた入れるんだ、いらないわ！）. -Line from friend
Some feels indifferent to the new jobs and some will most likely change to the RDM and SAM. Looking at you monk and machinist players lol.

I guess the group that I associate to most often have higher amount of Tanks then DPS. 「DPSはもう多いでしょうなんでまた入れるんだ、いらないわ！」 I think that is a really good summery to be honest.

You'll have to suck it up, they turned DRK into a tank, effectively taking out its signature move to shoehorn it into that role. I wanted SAM as a tank, until they showed everyone DRK tank in its stead. We had to deal with it then, it's your turn now.

I understand that at this point, Samurai being DPS will not change. I am not here to complain, to cry, to argue that it should have been tank. I am here to try and raise awareness to there is a some demand for a Job concept to the devs. We each have a way with dealing with situation. I suppose for me, instead of sitting and being quiet, I want to try to do something.

Since ARR is what I ment so 4 year old. They had to scrap three years of the orignial to remake the game.
