Can we just say "NO!" To Blitzball in FF14?

I'd rather see it as a standalone game than see it have anything at all to do with FF14. As someone was very fond of pointing out in that massive jump potion thread, dev time is not infinite. I'd much rather see dev time spent on something meaningful to the game, rather than the next Lords of Verminion or Chocobo Racing or Triple Triad - things that people generally don't do after a week or two. A few more MSQ, a few more side quests, an additional Trial, anything but another "popular for a week and ignored forever after" piece of content.

I think it would be fun if Blitzball could be a new PVP mode instead of a gold saucer addition (where killing is not the objective but blocking/attacking is part of the game).

they said that they are working on it and want to do it right. when we get i don't know but we should be getting it in the 4.X series.
