as far as monk gear goes, im thinking itll be alot like how nin was and share gear till 60. But then again, a lot of monk garb doesnt really seem to fit samurai. Theres even a ninja set from CT the fuma set that would just look very odd on a samurai...
Well, I can sort of understand why they went for this look. Samurai served a master till their death - Normally anyway. When said samurai lose favor or privileges of their master, they become "masterless" or ronins. Which were wandering samurai with no master and this does fit a samurai with adventuring in mind. These wandering samurai were more likely to be found wearing the more traditional Japanese clothing as displayed in the trailer.
