Because while the tanks have 3 tank jobs to level up, the dps players will have 9. And like you said the tank main players are also interested in the new dps jobs.
With this kind of comparison, I tend to split DPS into melee, ranged, and caster. But that wasn't even my point. The point is that NIN was awful because it came out in 2.4 when everyone was at top level with the jobs that they wanted. In stormblood, everyone will have 15 jobs (with new skills and gameplay to try out) to level, not 2, and there will be plenty of people queuing as tanks and healers because they want to level their existing mains and see whats new there before trying the new jobs. There may be problems of course, it will be a naturall chaotic few weeks/months, but it won't be as bad as people are making out.

well all depend of "we plan to breathe new life into existing jobs, especially the tanks and healer", i go to level up my DRK first, if they dont mess it and i want to make SAM my second job, im not interesting on level up WAR and PLD soon enough when the expansion is release, of coures i go to level it up by tank pride but my priorit right now are those 2, so meaby i offer my time like a tank for a price like sther say ^^
Because there are more weeaboos than edge lords. They took the balance attained from a popular job like Dark Knight and shot themselves in the foot by adding a more popular job as a dime a dozen role.
It will be a cluster___ in other words. Dps queue times are already obsurd.
A tank and healer was needed, not more dps and 2 for the matter
I think people underestimate just how popular SAM is. So when it releases yes DF will be terrible, and many people will fate grind which they probably will boost fate xp for HW fates to compensate, and most people will use Potd.
I just hope the Healer and tank overhaul will not turn people towards tank and healer jobs and not away.
As many ppl, i will stop my DRK for playing SAM ofc !
Fortunately for people who play DPS main, I will be one of the few DRKs still queuing as tank after the expansion hits. I always take a tank to cap first, and with no new tanks, I'll just have to stick with what I like best so far.
A lot of players will switch to the new jobs based solely on their own high expectations, they will switch back once they realize the jobs are not as overpowered or amazing as they hoped.
Lol Honestly, I feel it will effect the people that go grab Samurai right away, not those of us that are sticking with our current 60s.
While ya'll go level from 50-60 I will already be going through the story stuff with my DRG~ Head start~!
