Nope, sorry. Dragoon and Monks are pure dps melee class. Black Mage and Summoner are pure dps magic class (they are "casters"). Ninja, Machinist and Bard have support abilities to help the other members of the group while a Machinist can, for example, lower his dps by turning his turret into a Tp or Mp fountain so the other classes can keep up the high numbers. As ToppeHatte stated, there is a reason why a party composition has a mix of them.

Strange there is only the dps slot or the tank/healer slot or the tank/dps slotor the healer/dps slot but nope no mention of "magic" dps "melee" dps "ranged" dps or whichever delusion you want to use for justify this shit

Just because they aren't defined in PF doesn't mean the distinctions don't exist? As Alimdia pointed out, the different LBs separate the roles in-game, and even in the Samurai showing last night YoshiP straight up referred to it as a "melee dps" both vocally and in the slide itself.

You can divide it however you want, bro. I'm gonna go with the top-end raid community, which clearly separates them.

Even tanks and healers get subdivided. PLD and DRK are main tanks. WAR is an off tank. WHM is a main (Regen) healer, SCH is an off (shield) healer, AST does both.
