Figured we wouldn't get a healer or a tank this time around. My logic being this:

1) Paladin is "useless;"
2) White Mage is "useless."

Considering how FFXIV is all about balance to try and make no one class truly that much stronger than the other, it would be questionable to add a fourth to these roles. Unfortunately, it wasn't ultimately SE's fault, but rather the majority of players unwilling to take the others, despite the utility (AST pre- second-time- buffs, despite being already on par with WHM and SCH; 3.4 just make them superior and took that much for players to take them. PLDs have some of the strongest utility, allowing for breaks for healers to contribute more. However, while this logic works for ninja, it apparently backfires for PLD- probably because it doesn't directly raise group DPS like trick attack).
