But PotD scaling doesn't need to be above 60, it'll scale you back appropriately like it always has on earlier floors.

Essentially jumping straight from 60 to 70 will be a mess, and that's assuming the EXP gained from there remains good for going past level 60.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing as much DPS as one can as a tank, I'm saying prioritizing it over proper management of both enmity and incoming damage is a problem. Expecting the DPS and Healers to perfectly manage their own enmity, and in the case of Ninjas your own as well, refusing to adjust rotation as an OT to permit the MT to spend time out of their Tank Stance, not properly using abilities to keep what damage they take down. The less "I'm a blue DPS" tanks we have the better.

but its very possible (and far more likely) that the exp gained from POTD past level 60 will not be significant enough to justify leveling through it, especially when we will have new dungeons, fates, and possibly other better ways to level.
If I were the dev team, I would make sure that POTD would not be a viable choice for leveling. That would diminish the usefulness of the new areas almost entirely.
Like how people continued to spam fates in Northern Thanalan because leveling via fates in HW areas wasn't as fast?but its very possible (and far more likely) that the exp gained from POTD past level 60 will not be significant enough to justify leveling through it, especially when we will have new dungeons, fates, and possibly other better ways to level.

Oooh, shiney...

Going to be gathering garo set for monk if they do indeed share gear, back to fem roe...FEM ROE SAMURAI.

Samurai will probably share gear with monk. I would say most sets aren't designed to the class, but to the place they're acquired, or the theme. Look at the Lore Tome gear, the Eikon sets. All healers had Shiva gear. You didn't see Shiva Gear for WHM, then one for SCH, then one for AST, even though all three have very different aesthetics.

DRG gear have more the armored style, while MNK gear is more styled around mobility. SAM will be like DRG a def melee.Samurai will probably share gear with monk. For healer there are not different styles like with the melee gears. All healers share the same def, the same mdef and the same main stat, so they don't need different gears.
Yoshi said straight up that Sam is sharing gear with Mnk, period. As far as it fitting mnk? Sure it does. Yoshi said he imagined the samurai in robes and cloth, the lightly armored eastern style mnk gear could definitely work with Samurai.

And the Samurai is wearing robes/cloth.... like Monks do. So why would armor matter?DRG gear have more the armored style, while MNK gear is more styled around mobility. SAM will be like DRG a def melee.
