Well SE already lost my money, completely depressed dancer will not be added to game, don't even care about the future that was my holdout. Doma and Ala Mihgo just don't sound fun, and Samurai/Redmage are not enough to hold me to this game, Samurai was not fun in ffxi I won't even give it a chance here. Sorry SE You have gone the way of Warlords of Draenor in my eyes, and now maybe it's time to take a few years break or just stop playing altogether.

There wasn't even the faintest hint that Dancer was being added to the game though lol. Why would that be the thing that makes you quit?

Good thing SE doesn't need your money, since they're getting plenty of mine =)

Dancer not being hinted does not matter, it's a job I enjoyed playing, by this point in the games existence it should already exist. I held out for thief when I first started because it was announced as a job in development at the time it was what really sold me on the game, to bide my time and learn about ffxiv I took up lancer, then other jobs then finally rogue dropped... Rogue and ninja was a huge bait and switch. I've done all of the content I've watched friends lose interest, and move on to Overwatch and other games because the Themepark just didn't have the right attractions anymore. After watching the trailer, and seeing the disjointed muddled direction that is no direction and this games future I don't know that this game has the right attractions for me either. It's not about one thing it's many things, it's an empty fc/linkshell 2 weeks after a patch, it's about friends checking out 3 months into an expansion because the game does not have the legs it should to carry players over. I am stubborn, I have learned to surround myself with stubborn people those people tend to stick around. The stubborn people are leaving now, if I decide to leave it's no simple matter, it's complex there are layers, and deep valid reasons because I cannot abandon an investment in time and money lightly. SE needs to really bring it, and bring it hard, they have to really sell Samurai and Redmage now that they've made the deal with stupid they need to validate that decision and IF they succeed I'll consider buying in. Right now they're really reaching.

For an expansion they claim is Ahead of schedule, and much farther progressed than forecast the state of things makes me uneasy. I admit having a favorite job to look forward to would have instantly loosened my wallet and a Collectors Edition purchase would have been made at announcement. It would have done this with many others and likely the samurai dps fans are already bought in. How many did they lose with that announcement? With a disappointing 2 job offering and neither being interesting to me I will look more critically at what this game will have to offer and make harsher judgments. Why would I leave over dancer not being added? I wouldn't, I would leave over an empty game and that is this games bleak future.

I'll be frank. This sounds like little more than whining because your preferred job wasn't announced. If the game were in such a dire state, how could Dancer radically improve things? It wouldn't. You just didn't get what you wanted. Now that would be fine; plenty of people are understandably disappointed, but this sudden doom and gloom mentality over not getting Dancer is plain silly. If the game doesn't appeal any longer, unsub. All lamenting about it here will do is annoy people who want to talk about Stormblood.

Wait, people still though we will get dancer? We know for months that we will only have 2 jobs, RDM sure and SAM almost certain.
Btw I don't understand why people want a new race so bad ... useless. (and that was sure we would not have a new race too)

I am kinda glad for parity with 3 tanks and 3 healers, most people want tanks and healers to be more interesting as opposed to just new jobs.
