I just joined 1 week ago, I notice I don't have my novice network icon anymore. I still have questions in game for catching up 13 patch notes.
Or did I get boot from someone?

You're automatically booted after a week. As someone else who recently returned though, I agree it's really just too short of a time.
Look for a LS or FC, sure you will be able to find one that will help new/returning players.
You get removed after 168 played hours AND completion of the ARR main story when you enter Ishguard.
It is totally possible to make it to 60 and end game content and still have the novice icon if you do it within the 168 hours.
False. I got mine removed after HW and my play time was well below 168hrs
I've taken mutiple characters to Ishgard for the laughs. Every time I finish ARR it puts a message on my screen, stating that I've advanced far enough into the game where I don't need to be considered a novice anymore, and removed the sprout.
This will happen to 99% of players, the other 1% somehow broke the system and kept their sprout.

It's absolutely possible to be farming Zurvan Ex as a novice just because you did it in under 168 hours.

While all this is true, the OP is a returner and apparently they only have 1 week in NN.
Depending when you played, there was a variance on how long you stay a novice.

[2.0] The requirements for retaining the New Adventurer status have been adjusted.
Before
Less than 40 hours of play time.
After
Players meet either of the following requirements:
・Less than 168 hours of play time
・Have yet to complete the main scenario quest "Before the Dawn."
* Players who no longer have the New Adventurer status but fulfill the above requirements can restore it by using the text command "/nastatus on"
