That "certain contexts" there are not too many of those I believe?

There is no relevant one. Yes, PLD can take less damage in the long run in some content, but since the gap is not significantly harder on healers, and WAR and DRK are allowing faster kills, no one cares how sturdy PLD is.
Assuming NIN for enmity, PLD has greater combined reliable mitigation and damage output as the non-WAR than DRK for the physical heavy fights of Creater Savage (mostly all but 12, though multistrikes such as in 10 make Shelltron less effective), and for about half of the Ex Primals.
Again, it mostly depends on whether one can take advantage of its two pivotal tools, and whether another tank would otherwise get a higher number of effective uses out of their lower cooldown immunity ability (3 or 6 vs. 7 min).

"Clemency"

I can't wait for 4.0 to not fix PLD at all and only make WAR slightly weaker than it is now with potency nerfs when it's real power is with it's utility and survivability.

I don't think WAR will be nerfed all that much, since they'd risk ruining the excellent flow that the job has with its own skills. The better way forward would be to buff PLD in several ways to bring it in line with WAR and DRK in terms of utility and DPS, if they're continuing the current "DPS or GTFO" meta.

I main pally and in the 700 instances or so I\\\\'ve done I\\\\'ve only been told I was bad for being a pally once that entire time. TBH, as long as your gear is up to date and your rotations are ok who cares what tank class you play? It\\\\'s whatever you enjoy the most.
I\\\\'\\\\'ve tried Marauder for a bit and I found it to be boring. Granted I have not leveled it to any suitable fashion. Buuuut maybe someday.
I\\\\'ve not had any hate management issues since I\\\\'ve fixed my rotation and I have no issue tank swapping either and as far as those things are concerned, that\\\\'s what\\\\'s important.
IMO the dps everyone all the time meta kind of annoys me because with the huge push for dps vs knowing mechanics not a lot of people I find know mechanics outside of statics and farm parties. When it comes to statics and parties with a specific goal I can see where they might want specific classes because they want to do as much as they can

in a limited amount of time but when it comes to general play, just play the tank you want to play. (On mobile so couldn't edit to bypass text limit)

Warrior is fine just the way it is.
Paladin is also in a good place although it's not the most desired per current dps-heavy meta. However, a strong Paladin main can still put up decent sustained numbers.
