Desyncing from Eorzea Time / Flashing Disconnect Symbol

So I've had a weird problem for like a week now.

I'll have a 'disconnecting' symbol flashing on and off beside my name, though friends have watched me move around and they don't notice me rubberbanding, and I never actually disconnect.

Sometimes things will fail to load. Like, I did Bismarck and he was invisible, but I was still able to stand on him, see his corona, attack it, etc.

Also I desync from Eorzea time. It gets worse the longer I stay connected. Eventually it desyncs so badly that to me it will be night, but to other players it will be day.

Not really sure what the issue here is. I got my modem replaced just today and it didn't help, tried things like Pingzapper, tried turning off firewalls, setting FFXIV as a program to ignore for my antivirus, etc.

Reinstalling, forwarding the right ports for XIV, pingzapper, updating graphics drivers, getting a new modem, and such haven't had any effect. This is really weird, and annoying.

Again: Apparently I don't jump/stutter when moving according to people watching me, I just desync from Eorzea time and sometimes enemy models don't load... meaning I get attacked by things with invisible parts. I've really no idea what's causing it at this point.

Models not loading could be corrupted files, which would lead me to suggest reinstalling the game, but your other issues definitely sound like network problems. What ISP do you have? Try doing a tracert to your server's IP, which you can find on arrstatus.com. It'll tell us more about the Internet routing between you and SE's datacenter.
