Steps:
1. Every time I attempt to log in with my main character (Rokai Dangles) I always get the following error message "Connection with the server was lost 90002." I have two other characters in different worlds and I log into them with no issues. I though perhaps the issue lied with the world Marlboro so I transferred my character to a different world (Exodus). I still get the same message when I try to log in. This issues has been on going since I re-activated my FF14 subscription account in late January 2017.
2. I have filed a support request with square enix and they gave me a few potential fixes to try, which I did. Those troubleshooting fixes I attempted were: changing my IP address to a static IP address, flushing my DSN, using a VPN, ensuring that the right ports were forwarded for FF14, turning off my firewall, and connecting my laptop directly to my modem. I did all of these and none of them resolved my issue unfortunately.
3. I called Square Enix back and they recommended that I make a thread and explain my situation because it could be that my character's data is corrupt or that there is a glitch where my character may be logged in still which is why I keep getting that error code. I cannot tell you the last time I was logged into Rokai Dangles because I cancelled my subscription in 2014 and recently renewed it.
4. Again, I have two other characters I can log in with and I transferred Rokai Dangles to a different world and I am still getting the same issue. I assume the issue lies not with my connection, but with the Rokai Dangles character itself since I can get on other characters. I am wondering if there is a strange glitch or data corruption occurring with Rokai Dangles because this issue has been a bit frustrating to say the least.
5. Any assistance on this matter would be extremely appreciated because Rokai Dangles is my main character.
