    Account delete

    Heya,

    Quick question, a friend of mine deleted his FF14 account in the Mogry station. Yes it was stupid, so no need to discuss that any further, however he regrets this and wanted to reactivate the account.
    When trying to log into the mogry station or lodestone he gets the message that his account has been deleted and he should contact support for further information.

    The FAQ states that deleted accounts cannot be regained therefore this feature should be used with caution. It is a clear statement, however all of his characters do still exist and are in our guild, so my two questions two people who might experienced the same are:

    Since the characters do still exist, is there are way through support to still regain your account ? And if not and he would create a new account,could he reuse his cd keys since these should naturally be free now since they are not linked to an account anymore or would he need to repurchase the game ?

    He'll need to contact support to find out if they can/will restore it. These forums can't actually help as this is more for players to help other players, SE themselves don't do support queries through this.

    I am very sure though that game codes will no longer work as they've already been redeemed. Yes the account created is now deleted, by the player, but the codes were one-time and did work as intended so if support cannot undelete their account, he'll have to buy a new copy of the game/expansion.

    The codes won't work again if they've already been used. I am pretty sure SE can re-activate disabled accounts though, but he'll need to contact them directly. preferably by phone. Their email support is really slow, and they're reluctant to discuss sensitive information over email (and rightly so).

    As for the lodestone Information it doesn't get updated constantly so it may be still be using the same data when his character was around.
