Color changing your chocobo

The only way to get the seeds to grow the color food is via Allied Seals and the seeds are bound to the character that buys them. So you have to grow them with the person who buys the seed. The finished product can be sold on the market board. The Vath only sell the buff foods for chocobos not the color food. The only other source was a few quests that only gave a few fruit and were not repeatable.

All crops can be grown (just not crossbred) in the flower pots.

Sorry, I appreciate I wasn't very clear, but I was talking about the Shroud topsoil and it's ability to increase likelihood of receiving more crops back (and that this soil doesn't work with all crops - Thavnairian Onions for example always yield only 1 each time).

Oh, thought you meant the flower pot! Yes you're correct about the soil then, works great for the chocobo food seeds.
