Mentor Players Kicking newer players from Duty Ques for low DPS

Not to be one of those creepers dude, but, looked up your character on Lodestone. Your gear is "fine" (used loosely- should really upgrade your accessories too), however you really need to get your lancer up to 34. Blood for Blood for the DPS, but more importantly, you lack invigorate. You have no sustainable DPS, especially an AoE intensive dungeon like SAHM (when you get to it).

Basically, you failed to do your part as a DPS, but came here to complain. It's probably situations like this that are why SE is doing the whole role system instead of the cross class system.

Okay. Where to begin with this one..i am dungeon grinding for gear...I understand I do not have all my cross class abilities but I FULLY understand how to use what I do have, which is songs in cases when needed, Iron Jaws to keep DOTs going and Barrage with Emphy Arrow..etc. I also watch guides so I know placing and what mechanics are going to be used. I am never "dead" weight as you are making me out to be. Being a casual player and limited time on my hands I am playing the game the way I want to play it. I meet the minimal requirements for a dungeon or trial then based on that I am able to complete the current Duty with whatever I have equipped. I am still a new player since when you looked you should of noticed i had only 1 character at lvl 60 and within my first 2 months of playing. So dont patronize me on my duties. I may only have 1 class but i do it as well as i can with what i got. Good day Sir!

Nice way of twisting my words to help your side of this. Playing the way i want to play it is exactly what I meant. I enjoy range DPS which is why I have stuck with a Bard. The fact that I have cleared every other dungeon until now with no kicking or problems states the obvious that it wasnt my DPS that was the problem. It was "elitist" players like yourself who look down on new players because they dont do 10% extra damage or replenish their own TP or because a dungeon will take longer to complete. Since you cant seem to read earlier replies I already stated i fully inderstand my role and how to appropriately use my class with the abilities i have.

Lmao I knew the 'E' word would be used sooner or later. There's nothing elitist being said here. You ask mentors do do their job right? Well here we are giving you advice. Get your cross classes or don't be surprised when you get kicked and start mouthing off when people tell you why you were kicked.

No, I saw that you claim to know your role. Unfortunately, without having partied with you or anything, I cannot claim otherwise, so there was simply no need to address it. However, if you understand your role, you'd still know how [physical] DPS still need invigorate to perform to the best of their abilities. Sure, you can still perform and it might go unnoticed, but you're still going on just slipping on by with minimum effort for your class. Considering DPSing is your main role, you should at least vie for that one skill. Also, 10% extra damage every 80 seconds in a 15 minute dungeon (or longer) adds up. You know this, though, since you know your role.

I don't mind being called an elitist for advocating playing to the best of a class's ability. Please do not misunderstand, I am not looking down on a new player. People that know me know I enjoy helping and don't mind spending hours to help people. I just become very blunt when I start dealing with others that start to make excuses for what they do without at least considering what others are telling them.

No, we are not saying that. What we're saying is if you don't have your cross classes which in most classes is mandatory especaially by the time you're level 60, then you cannot be surprised you were kicked.

Here you are coming to the forums complaining about it and we're telling you exactly why it's a sizeable (not great) deal and why it's important to have these abilities which don't take a long time to get and instead of being humble and taking our advice, you're here getting all defensive about it. Sure the mentor could of been a damn mentor and tell you this instead of kicking you but the point still stands.

As Junseikei has told you and as someone who has played bard a crap load you WILL need those cross classes ESPECIALLY invigorate when it comes to big pulls or long fights without breaks for to recharge. This is where your DPS comes from. Research your classes bro. It is what I did when I was a duckling.

Now if I was a mentor I would of told you just that, but if I happened to get you in a dungeon again and you didn't take heed and we were failing dps checks, then yeah, I'm sorry but I'll initiate a vote kick against you.

OP doesn't have her subclasses
OP is wearing Fending accessories on BRD
OP is artificially inflating their iLevel
OP is offered constructive advice and plays the elitist card in response

This is exactly the attitude of someone who doesn't give a shit, and exactly why I stopped being a mentor.

If the OP was in my party and gave me the same attitude as she's been giving everyone else, I'd boot her too.

most mentors dont really notice how annoying they are in reality :P you could have given advice and continued with the dungeon without any troubles , yet im pretty sure some of the mentor continued to build up theyre ego and increase the rage in the group :P
because some people cant stop after one sentence they have to go on and on and on until they flip out :P

while i agree using tank jewelry to get into a dungeon is not the best idea , im pretty sure it was an overreaction from the "mentors".

though since we dont know what really happened in dungeon chat :P its not really up to us to judge the situation.

If you have at least min ilvl and you can "play your class well", then DPS shouldn't be low.
