One underrated aspect of Disciple of the Land quests.

in DoL quests...you aren't treated like the damn bleeding unique special snowflake chosen one savior of the entire universe by himself Warrior of Light.

you're treated as just a guy who is good at his job.

It's a nice break from being expected to save everyone and everything.

It's a different kind of fulfillment

As warrior of light you saved their lives

As a crafter or gatherer, I feel you solved social issues and saved their dignity / heart.
You actually made people smile and feel human again. It's more personal.

Also, I feel what you did just as much for Ishgard's future as a botanist than slaying Nidhogg

I dunno. I personally feel treated like a glorified errand gal who's constantly getting abused for primal slaying because "muh echo" in the MSQ ._.

This is one of the reasons I really like the CUL and GSM quests. You do some pretty amazing stuff that's great in its own right compared to what you do as the WoL. I felt really personally fulfilled at the end of both of those DoH questlines. Admittedly, in leveling my DoL jobs I haven't really done the quests but I'll take your word for it! Lol.

Well, you could say the same about every single class quest, since they all assume you're a new adventurer (level 15) none of them take into consideration that you just saved the world, you're just another random wanting to learn the class.

The HW ALC quest is great. You're called in to assist and it's made clear that you're the second choice. At least at the start. Your talent as an alchemists was already noteworthy, but you're no Guildmaster. But at the end they all love you skill. Not because of your echo or Warrior of Light-Ness, but what you did. Which I think Midgard was on about.

I want to point out that MCH job quests also don't treat you like the Chosen One. You're pretty much just another grunt with a gun. A talented grunt, true, and a quick learner, but not even the best gunner they have on staff (that would be Joye). I found that to be kind of remarkable, actually.

The Alchemist story... I heart so much. Then Goldsmith. Then Blacksmith. Then -

Well, there's a lotta love in the craftin' stories. Love, and healthy competition!
