Which is a reasonable enough hope and one I share. Drk+Pld+Sam, War+Pld+Mnk and War+Drk+??? all being fairly optimal comps is far from ideal, but it better than the current Meta.well now SAM is confirmed like a dps, make me think about if they go to get a slashing debuff that dont lower they personal dps like ninja does, making stom eye no longer mandatory eliminating the chance of nerfing it and with somekind of utility on PLD and DRK to compentase the WAR personal dps and storm path to make PLD/DRK a very good combo in the presence of a SAM, with leaving X tank/WAR plus ninja the other set up, i belive its pretty fair.
still im think they need to ddo something with raw intuition and equilibrium, but whitout information about of the stats changes and new skills i dont go to get there yet.
yeah, that can open more set ups posibilitys, but for now we need to wait until they show us the SAM skills and the new skills of the other melees to see if this theory can be true, even im so curious about that special treatment we go to get in the balance for releasing 2 dps at the same time.
Yoshi kinda already hinted at a "nerf" to war so i am expecting the tank meta to be reeled in a bit damage wise. This isn't bad in the long run if it is done right, just hoping w/e they do doesn't have heavy implications on solo play. Still i do not mean I see warrior and pld doing the same amount of dps for example, but seeing the payoff in survival being more noticeable. I can also possibly see a shift into penalizing "dps stance tanking" with built in weaknesses into the dps stances, bringing them more in line for OT situations across the board but heavily discouraging dps tanking overall. (hell if it was me id do like a counterbalance mechanic into it where the damage "boost" goes up alongside the "weakness" as ilvl increases.)
on the tank debuffs on mobs side, would it really be that bad of an idea if tanks had no "party wide" effects? I feel like this would open up more opportunities for dps combinations since a tank spot in a composition is pretty mandatory to begin with.
Ok you're using the word properly, but aren't targeting to the proper concern...we want "equity" for players. How is it fair that players who likes some jobs are inherently less competitive, even if their skill is clearly on par (or even better) than players who chose more competitive jobs ?

If you want "easy gameplay", the first 59 (soon 69) are there to practice.Every job (in the same role) should be able to do contribute the same DPS wise (personal of by party utility) at the same mastery.Saying PLD is supposed to be the "entry level tank" is just stupid. You know what "entry level tank" is ? The 59 first levels.There shouldn't be "mechanically easier but weaker jobs, only easier content".
Two thing i would like to see modified in
PLD Would be Flash to have a burn damaged or a DOT and each time a parry occurs it would counter a % of damage back to the enemy. PLD should have a counter attack.
