Workshops should be attached to FC not Land

This is major issue going forward for a lot of us and needs to have its own thread.

The company workshop should be attached to the company and not the land where it resides. There has been inclination towards the notion before but this should serve to keep the idea afloat by reaffirming interest.

Workshops are one of the largest time and Gil investments many of us will undertake in-game, the parts to build them are costly and time consuming, but the biggest barrier in having good viable ships is the duration they take to unlock and level. Granted they level almost every time after completing a mission, but it will take several months to get >all< 4 ships to 50 with choice parts.

As it stands moving a FC to another plot would forfeit all ship progress besides the parts resulting in significant constraint. Another issue is what if the FC decided to take a break or move servers, without housing the workshop progress would also be lost.

At the verge of a new expansion bringing additional housing, more information regarding the status of workshops and FC plot transfers is warranted.

This is a big concern for my FC, as well. We want to upgrade to a mansion in 4.0, but the hit to our airship program is a hard pill to swallow. We've been waiting and watching for updates on the moving system, with bated breath and crossed fingers.

Yes, agreed. We transferred to a larger house last year and it set us back months having to not only level the ships but having to collect all the tokens to buy the recipes again (unfortunately, someone posted that all recipes remained unlocked after a move on this forum and I believed them XD). It's too late for us but it would be a huge QoL improvement for a lot of FCs.

We waited for the medium house we wanted to build a workshop for this very reason, now that we are getting a whole new area and are hoping to move to a large. What i'm trying to do in the meantime is make alternate sets of broco parts to switch out on my ships and save the more expensive ones. also stocking up on all of the workshop only matts to prepare for the move.

I imagine if the move function will be ready they'll reveal it within the next few days at the fanfest where they're supposed to be giving info on the new housing zone.

I believe if you dismantle the airship beforehand you get the parts back, so no need to sacrifice parts. I haven't done this personally and have only seen mention of it so you may still want to swap out one airship with bronco parts and test it.

Its worth a try, i still have a 4th airship space open, never needed a 4th, so i may build one and dismantle it to ck. At least i wont lose any leveling progress that way.

You can salvage the parts, we did this when we upgraded our house, just took the parts back when we dismantled and reused them on the ships in the new house. The only problem is you have to buy the flight credits again.
