What I would like to see in Character Creation

We arent getting a new race. And at this point it is too late to come with suggestions for Stormblood launch content.

I hope we wont ever see cross bred races. Why even have different races if everyones going to be a mongrel anyway.

The latest animations added have all been similar for each race, so i dont see SE making older emotes available for all, with a few exceptions of course. As for Highlander animations on a midlander? Its easy, as they share the exact same skeleton for animation rig. So its literally just adding a new number to the list. For other races it wouldnt be that easy as it would require refitting for all races with their diffrent arm lengths, proportions etc.

I would only one race be an option for "half breed"/ "mongrel" choice.

The thing is that so far Half breeds are very rare in the lore. Theres only one. And we are restricted from certain races namely the Padjal, who despite being rare have a good handful of members.

The thing im against is the people wanting every race to have a crossbreed with each other. Thats too far, biologically confusing and in some case just morally wrong. (roe x lalafell)
Race "breeding" is a thing i dont want to make normal. Its just too awkward to work with.

Singular cases where its done to build the character is fine. That i can handle. Having everyone get the option for no other reason than "i wanna be elezen but i dont want the elezen body" or "I wanna be small but i also wanna be a cat" is just way too much freedom in the otherwise rigid world of eorzea that i have grown to love over the years.

While true the Padjal are rare due to the extraordinary means that surround their birth. The option we speak does not have that limitation, as there birth is something much more mundane. While the character in question is the only one named at the time many others could simply be living simple lives. in other places, even thriving by chance due to a lack of prejudice. It would be a fair assumption many were sent out of the city proper to cover the misdeeds of certain persons.

I actually agree with you, my motives are purely selfish in that i simply like the idea of those characters, i also feel the the other races that are already half of something should not produce anything, should those blood lines meet. It, to me seems ludicrous to want a Miqo Te male (cat boy)+ Elezen female (elf girl) =??? Cat elf, an Au ra male (demon guy) + Roegadyn female (dog girl)=??? Demon dog guy (who's waist does the kid get?). They are already a part human hybrid race adding more hybrid to the mix seems excessive and unnecessary. As for lala, im not sure if i want demon, dog, elf, cat, potato hybrids running around. For all the claims of being adults in lore they still play up the child aspect to much for my liking. However this is only my opinion.
