    SCH ability suggestion. Your thoughts

    With Stormblood and possible new abilities/traits coming with the level cap raise, I was wondering what your thoughts are on a possible ability that guarantees the next galvanize cast is a crit.

    There is still a lot of content I have yet to experience, and at this stage in the game for me, I don't see it as a huge impact, but I'm not sure about later in the game or if it would make a big difference in raids. However, I do like the idea of being able to forcefully put a crit galvanize on the tank or group for either clutch situations, or DPS increase.

    If we could have such an ability, what would be a reasonable cooldown on it? I'm thinking 90-120 seconds.

    5 Minute cooldown at least, a crit shield can make tank bursters ignorable. Moreover, since it would be a guaranteed crit that would mean you could pop fey illumination, mantra and other type of buffs to make it bigger. It would be the equivalent of benedicton, but even better since it could be AoE with deployment.

    120s could be good if it shared the cooldown with deployment tactics (so you can only ensure a crit adlo on a single target, never AoE). If AoE is allowed, I feel 5m would be too little even. I think it'd be OP if it's more than a once-per-fight thing.
    Important to consider is that once you can garuantee something, it becomes viable for strategies, and that can easily make a SCH mandatory for fights where it makes something significantly easier to deal with (deployed critlo with buffs is about as powerful as a tank LB 2).

    I would absolutely love such an ability! Currently I use crit Adlo in at least A11S and A12S and I hate having to recast Adlo for it. The cooldown should be really long though, maybe 5 mins (same as Benediction).

    As if SCH wasn't broken enough already; SE's goal has been to make Noct AST equally viable in shielding in raids and this would basically nullify that due to the Adlo crit bonus.

    I feel as if this is far too powerful of a change.

    They never said they wanted to make ast noct equal, but as useful as sch is. Sch will ALWAYS be better at shielding.

    -Meltdown/Merton/Kaustra (depending on localization/translation).
    oGCD ability that when used, makes your Miasma, Bio, Bio II deal the rest of its remaining damage instantly on the next tick and then wear off. Useful for if a boss is about to jump/go invincible.

    If on a shared cooldown with deployment tactics, then that short a cooldown might be reasonable, but separately a crit adlo is simply too strong.

    Aye! With further thought put into it, I can see how this would be too strong with that short of a cooldown. I don't think it's so powerful that it couldn't be implemented, so I agree with the shared CD with Deployment Tactics, or 300 second CD that has been mentioned. The thought came to me just recently when my SCH hit 56. I got a little excited with the thought of basically having control over granting the party a huge shield buff through use of this ability and DT.
