[Request] Allow level 50 crafting items to be obtained through alternate means

I'm working on I Made That V for Carpenter. Completing this includes 6 items that use Stone Vigil Lumber. I've attempted to solo the instance but was unable to due to Cuca Fera's enrage when the NPCs that are made of paper die. And so I've been forced to run it over and over this weekend praying that I get the drop or that groups will ignore the chest so I can collect them for a chance at the lumber once everyone leaves.

The queues on my data center are very long even as a healer. I would purchase them, but there are none available on the MB. It seems to me that with the advent of blessed tools there should be an alternative way to gain these items. Something like crafting faction vendor, seals, even low level Aquapolis drops. It's very frustrating when progress is blocked not from your ability but due to the accessibility of the materials from long-dead dungeons.

This is just the carpenter example. I am sure it applies to other rarely-done level 50 dungeons with crafting drops.

Sometimes you have to suck it up and bite the price on the MB. It would be nice to have other means of getting the materials, but they were included as part of the rewards to incentivize the dungeons (and craftables). Maybe get a buddy to help you duo it?

I mentioned there are none on the MB. There's not much reason to keep them as an incentive for the dungeons if the dungeons aren't even being run with them as current incentives. Level 50 dungeons are old content. The only people running them anymore are the die-hards who won't use PotD to level.

The number of crafts required does make it so that you can skip a few crafting recipes. I finished up carpenter over the weekend and it came down to Stone Vigil Lumber or Manor Varnish and Glazenuts. Haukke Manor hard is possible to solo, so that's a potential option. However, I didn't feel like growing Glazenuts currently so I ended up buying Stone Vigil Lumber from the marketboard. Will eat a loss on it, but eh, it's done. On the topic of losses: there's plenty of cheap items crafted from it up for sale. Has anyone tried desynthing these cheap items to see if they yield the lumber? I don't have CRP desynth, so can't readily check.

I actually looked into that route but mine wasn't high enough either. From internet research, I don't see that anyone has been able to desynth the lumber. It's possible someone hasn't recorded it but multiple sites listed the only acquisition point as the chest in the dungeon.

And I found I needed everything for CRP. There were one or two housing items I was able to skip on BSM and ALC but I had to do both tabs on CRP and everything in the non-master books. I'm lucky I garden so I had glazenuts on hand and manor varnish is not something rare on our MB. Which were you able to skip?

I finished my CRP tonight because mercifully the last 3 lumber I needed appeared on the MB.

I skipped all the musical instruments and one of the chess pieces. Did you recheck your low level recipes any time recently? Sometimes new recipes are added to lower levels and that could make a difference in what I skipped vs yours.

The lists for desynth seem to be hit or miss from what I've seen online. I hesitate to fully trust any of the lists.

Yes, I make sure to go through all the 1-60 stuff when I set out to work on these to pick up that random Vintage or such that I may have never made before. I'll have another look.

I'm the same with desynth lists. I like to see what I get on my own and make my own metrics. Just never worried too much about crp desynth. I'll need to work it up on an alt to have it handy I think.

It's Housing 2. There's a 101-107 page. I had already made the Hat Stand from there.

I think the argument for an alternate way to obtain still stands. It's strengthened by their use in the blessed tools but it really just boils down to desirable items for crafters in mostly-dead dungeons. They have made a lot of adventuring focused items like glamour available through alternate means, but crafters are still left out in the cold.
