Let's get rid of Ixion while we're at it. Because "Horses don't belong".
Domans gotta make money too. I'd buy a pretty black horse and name her Midnight Honeysuckle.
Chocobos are horses in the FF universe. There shouldn't be any horse in the first place, beside the mythical ones.
Odin, in FF13 transformed into a horse..and we absolutely could ride him. (which is kinda..dumb imho, but its a thing)
I think we have plenty of horses as is. I rather have a seahorse for the expansion ; ; lol
Chocobos are the horses of Final Fantasy. Or at the least, they should be.
Like in the hempen underwear thread where I wonder of the people who say no for IDK... tradition? How many of them have worn the item in the last year that they are so invested in not changing?
How many who say chocobos are the horses.... (doma and odin and so on, yay lore)... how many of them used a chocobo as their main mount in say the last 6 months? IDK about other servers but its rare on balmung.
As they are so fond of pointing out when FFXI comes up, this is XIV, we can be different.
Ixion is a unicorn, otherwise known as a horse with a horn. Doesn't matter if it's a mount or if it's not in XIV. Odin was also a horse in XIII. You said horses don't belong in FF, so I'm just using your logic. They've been in FF for a long time. Definitely longer than Ixion. Just saying.

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Traying to use lore when the game already allow so many things that break it is the most weak argument you can bring to the table. Devs already had all necessary, and expensive, stuff in game to make this happen (model, animation and sounds), so if a portion of the player base would enjoy it, why not?
P.S. My favourite mount are chocobos and I will keep using them.
