    Cordials

Anyone who gathers at end game knows how valuable these things are.
Disclaimer: I am assuming level 60 DoL here, with around 650-700 GP. Also, I am ignoring leves and quests as a source, since they can't really provide cordials in any significant quantity.

So let's look at how each of the GP restorers rate:

    Watered Cordial (NQ)
GP: 150, Cooldown: 140s, GP/s: 1.07, Acquire: crafted (quick synthesis).
Cheap and easy to make, these only require one ingredient from a time-gated botany node. However, the paltry amount of GP makes it hardly worth it.
    Overall rating: 3/10

    Watered Cordial (HQ)
    GP: 200, Cooldown: 126s, GP/s: 1.59, Acquire: crafted (manual).
Cheap and easy (although time consuming) to make. At first glance, these seem like a good choice. In practice, you need to be chugging them like a freshman at frat kegger. It also means they take up more inventory space.
    Overall rating: 5/10

    Cordial (NQ)
GP: 300, Cooldown: 240s, GP/s: 1.25, Acquire: GC Seals, crafted (quick synthesis).
Super easy to get in quantity. Craft via quick synth, or just head down to your GC pusher and score some. The only real downside to these is the long cooldown. 4 minutes is an eternity when most of the windows are spaced less than that. You end up having to decide which nodes to ignore when faced with a series of closely timed pops.
    Overall rating: 6/10

    Cordial (HQ)
    GP: 350, Cooldown: 216s, GP/s: 1.62, Acquire: crafted (manual).
Wow. These things are a royal pain in the butt to get, and time consuming to make. The extra 50 GP and 24s shorter cooldown makes a massive difference though. They are almost as good as Hi-Cordials. At 350 GP, they give enough of a boost to hit mutliple nodes, sometimes in the same window. These are my top choice for any sustained gathering effort.
    Overall rating: 7/10

    Hi-Cordial
    GP: 400, Cooldown: 180s, GP/s: 2.22, Acquire: 33 blue gathering scrip.
Hands down, best stats in the game (so far), but not by a whole lot. They're blue scrip vendor only (and not cheap either), though, which is a complete deal breaker for me.
    Overall rating: 2/10

I think HQ Watered Cordials are one of the most underrated items in the game. They are so useful. Yes, you do chug them down in huge quantities but you can afford to since they are so easy to make and that short cool-down is really nice.
I keep a stack of these and a stack of HQ Cordial on me when I'm gathering. Hi Cordials are nice but I can always find better things to spend my scrips on.

    Oh my god

Up until now I was 100% convinced watered cordials and normal cordials had the same CD...

i far prefer HQ watered cordials to anything else.
They seem to be just the right amount of GP and cooldown to maintain the "every 3 game hours" timer legendary nodes currently have

HQ cordial and hi-cordial are occasionally useful if i need two things that spawn in the same window "right now!" and only care about the yield+2 buff

They are really great and yes extremely underrated.

They're Perfect for scrips nodes as they top off your GP just right between nodes.
Gone and got those Chysahl Greens for reds. By the time Adamantite pops you'll only have 450 ish GP so a hq watered cordial is perfect to get you 650 just as the node spawns. then if after the adamantite you want to go grab the frost bolls for more reds same thing again. naturally abut 450GP when the node spawns so a HQ watered cordial is just right to get 650 GP and so on and so on for the next nodes..

In my opinion HQ watered cordials would probably be closer to an 8/10. Easily the best choice for scrips nodes.

HQ cordials I always keep a stack for if I wanna smack 2 nodes in the same window or spam blessed harvest / kings yield 2.. or If mixing blues and reds. do chysahl pop a cordial do abalthian mistletoe for blues then chug another cordial for adamantite. then just need a watered cordial hq to hit morel and maybe cuprite. but with the recent items added to reds I tend to just focus on one color these days

Hi Cordials I've only ever used when I was grinding perch on fisher. solely to keep patience up for as much time as possible. seems to be the only time they're ever feasible. 33 blue scrips for one but if you can nab 5 perch in the 2 minutes patience is up it's not a bad trade off at all. and you can chug another one like 30 seconds after patience wears off.

If all you are collecting is the Chysahl and Adamantite, you do not need to use any Cordials. Grab the Chysahl when it pops, poof over for the Adamantite, and wait a bit after it spawns, you'll have time to regenerate your GP and gather before it disappears on you.

Its only if you want to add more stuff to your gathering that you really need to start chugging.

They increased the number of red scrip items dramatically last patch; you have an available red scrip item node every 2 game hours now. That means recovering just over 500 GP regen between gathers.

Also, the -xxx GP on next swing only appears to trigger on the 5am/5pm nodes.

Chloe, if you think these things are a pain to HQ you really need to write a crafting macro for them.

Press one or two buttons while you read or watch TV, done.

What else is there to spend blue scrips on right now? Did I miss something from the new patch? (Haven't done any new DoH content from patch)

3 Squadron members with gather scrip chemistry, I'm buying Hi-Cords just to keep my blue under 2000/2000

Other than buying things like splapherite just to sell on MB that is

I guess I will take this advice and look into the watered ones. Didn't realise they had shorter cooldown than regulars.
