I have 1.2 million becuse EVERYTHING in stormblood is going to be expensive AF when it comes out
atm around 250m on my main char because i buy new FC and stuff, alts own about 10-20mil each but i set as a goal to hit gil cap before 4.0 hit.
atm is nothing else to do anyways so i am trying to do so much crafts as i can.

I only have 12 million, but I just came back to the game after more than a year a week or so ago. I'm leveling some DoH now and last time I did that was in the last couple of weeks of ARR, which was still enough time to make several million, so I imagine I'll find a way to get a good chunk more in the next several months.

6.5m at the moment, but i haven't started stockpiling yet. Once I finish off my relic I will get back to crafting for gil.
301k gil. Lol.
I am going to have 700k soon!
2m. In my current server, making gil is stupidly useless. Marketboard sucks here, I just gave up buying new glamour stuff =/
lol are this even enough for teleport? xD i really dunno how ppl can survive with this ammount on gil xD
just run 3 dungeons and you already collect enough lore and GC seals or dungeon drops that bring on the market more than that what you own.

I think a lot of people say Gil is meaningless because there's very little to actually spend it on that has any real "worth".
In a way it follows the same flaws as materia, food and medicines.
Players don't use food because it's worthless. The Stat boosts are so trivial and insignificant when your gear is already 30+ I levels above the content. How much will a 50k prestly omlette make a difference in my dun scaith or zurvan ex run. might be a few seconds faster, but then it might be slower cos of the other players in my group making mistakes. so the reality is that food makes no noticable difference and thus has no worth. which is why noone bothers with it.
Materia is exactly the same the reason so many people don't meld gear is because of how quickly that gear will be replaced. It's not worth investing in putting materia in you're 260 body when you're just going to augment it to 270 in a few weeks. And once again players already out gear content so much that a few savage aim/might materias isn't going to have a huge impact on content that you already outgear anyway.
Same yet again with medicines.
And once again with money. Anything purchasable will always be inferior to drops. And drops come so quick that there's no point purchasing it.
Like the 250 crafted gear. Why pay 8 million for a body when you'll probably have a 260 one next week? There's just no point.
And thus outside of glamor money is absolutely meaningless.
Which is exactly the same with gear. The only lasting value gear has is its glamor value. so unless it looks goods it's worthless,
I have 120 million but the reason I have 120 million is because there's nothing "worth" spending it on or investing in. So my Gil is essentially useless...
Can my gil get me a good weapon? nope. i could spend 4 or 5 million on a crafted 250 weapon and another couple of million on materia. or i could just spend an hour doing sophia or zurvan and get a much better one.. so even if did spend the millions i could quite probably have a better one in a couple of hours... thus no point...
Only time I spend any is for convenience. Sod spending 15 mins gathering a hundred logs I'll just buy a stack.
this is the problem with the market on the whole. theres tons of people selling everything but very few people buying it. because ultimately nothing has value outside of glamour.
60 mil atm still saving, not spending.
