This doesn't seem to be the issue here, as I understand it the issue isn't with MS and Sony as 14 doesn't really use either of there networks. The issue is that MS and SE can't seem to agree on certain key issues.Only thing I could fine was this let's hope it happens at E3

That's because a) they aren't, and b) there's no evidence they are, and c) there's plenty of evidence both anecdotal and empirical that MS is the problem, contrary to the smoke and mirror show some seem to have swallowed.
For PS4 and Xbox One players to play together in FFXIV and other games, there is absolutely zero need for PSN or Xbox to open up to each other or communicate with each other in any way. It's completely false to suggest otherwise, and claiming that your competitor is an obstacle, when in fact you are the obstacle is dishonest at best.

MS has NOT changed the fact that they would want their own server to play FFXIV
Read up before posting, Sony is in no way holding back MS

MS requirements of Xbox Live have not changed thus no ffxiv on xbox1
Buy a PS4 .
Hmm I don't remember this happening. I remember both being shut down and players offered transfers to PC. The only reason they did this was declining numbers nothing to do with Microsoft.they tried that back with 11 when 11 was cross platformed with xbox360 pc and ps2. SE said no to xboxlive being coneected ot a paywal lfor their sub game so they closed the xbox accounts and offered then free transfers to ps2 or pc like they do with ps3 to ps4 since ps3 is being phased out. as long as MS requires xboxlive and demands their own servers. FFXIV will never ever be on Xbox

One more point as grist for the mill. If FFXIV was implemented on Xbox One, would that not immediately represent a new limitation on what the game can do in future? I mean, Xbox One has about 50% of the GPU resource that even the original PS4 has.
That alone seems like a really good reason not to do it.

Except the Xbox has more available ram (not being used by its OS) and higher CPU (better for MMOs) yes it's GPU is a little lower but as a whole it wouldn't hinder a 2013 game like FFXIV

The game uses less than 4gigs total. On PC, at max settings. More ram doesnt matter.
