It states clearly that you have to step INSIDE the house, so no, teleporting to it isnt enough (most likely because they can only register that you loaded into your house - either way, they made clear that you have to go INTO the house)

It takes 45 days to reclaim a house - if you havent been inside your house for 45 days, thats more than a "short break".

Is it possible that the mail got send to another person/mail-adress? If it was an FC-house (unlikely form your description though...) it will go to the FC-leader, I believe. Double check that the mail-adress you're using for all the SE-stuff is the one you checked

Your account is the land owner? Account not registered to a different email address and checked spam folders? Also as far as I know the game also has in game notices letting person know about demolition also. And no teleporting to house does not register anything have to go into the house for it to stop timer.

Very sorry for your loss. Grab your gil and furnishings, a little hope and start stalking the wards for an opening. Mansions rarely open up on my server but on a positive note you really only have to wait till June. The expansion should open something up either in the new housing area or one of the old ones when someone decides to move. Plenty of time to make up that 20% loss.

* Players will have thirty-five days to redeem items from the resident caretaker before they are made irredeemable. Items belonging to a free company estate can only be retrieved by members with the authorization to purchase or relinquish land. Items belonging to a private estate can only be retrieved by the owner.
