I just love staying in the backrow and support my group. I never played anything else as a main then healers.
Maining WHM here is the decision i never regretted a single second.
As someone said before. The story of WHM is really nice <3 I love it <3

Besides many other things I like to be any role in non-savage content.
DD can´t do much? Well I do it for them.
Tank can´t hold hate? Will I do it for him or if I get outdamaged by any DD I Keep that one up.
I play scholar because it's an amazingly active and... uh, somewhat unpredictable in the sense that you don't necessarily use the same skills in the same order ALL THE TIME, it mostly depends on the fucks up of ther people and paying attention.
Micromanaging fairy, placing her and have her healing select targets while you do something else, DPSing with one eye on the mobs and the other on the team... very busy, I like it \o/
There's always much to press, it's a lot of fun![]()
I've played healer/support roles in most MMOs I've played, but scholar is easily the most fun class I've played in all of them.
good level of participation in game and dynamic structure of watching who needs what, tailoring your needs to each specific party, especially with astrologian you never know how your card game is gonna go, hope for the best and keep trekkin!
@person above me, if you like unpredictability, do astrologian instead![]()

ive always played healer specs as i find dps not to my taste. i dont like melee or range, it just isnt for me & healing is far more enjoyable.
I love healer because it's the only role in the game that you can play the same fight 10 times and have 10 different experiences. It's the only role that's truly reactionary, and the optimization of doing as much dps without letting anyone die, including the BLM that stands in aoes or the tank that may or may not pop cooldowns in dps stance, is very satisfying to me.
It's like playing a DPS class that also has to pay attention to everyone's health, but also have to factor in how much they have to heal vs how much they can dps and how many raises leave their MP pool intact etc.
Because everything I do is reactive. In other MMOs I was really into whatever class had the most buffs, because it kind of felt like I had control over the tide of whatever fight/raid there was, but healing always comes with that. I joined right after they released Scholar and jumped right for it because it had the most unique playstyle with the fairies and damage mitigation, then the second I saw Astrologians cards I pre-ordered Heavensward. I don't really even look at tanks or DPS because of all the set rotations and opens and everything feels like a pre-set form, but as a healer I get to react to everyone within the party, and the only time I'd get bored was if everyone was performing perfectly every time. That and we get the prettiest skill animations.
I love the feeling of power involved with choosing who lives and dies (or stays dead).
It allows me to punish those that question me or those that would abuse my skill, such as DPS that pull ahead of the tank or people that just flat out ignore important mechanics, causing wipes.
I love playing healer and chose this role because it kind of suits my personality like you. I enjoy helping. I terms of playstyle I prefer distance anyway. Im just used to thinking 'healer' I watch the health bars. I enjoy keeping people alive and getting them thruogh the instance this is satifying and Im consciencous not to let anyon die. The role has a kind of responsibility for others. I lenjoy that challenge, and it can be very challenging at times. Playing healer is the reason for me playing this game.
