Just some tips for someone starting Alex Savage this late?

So with Stormblood coming out and knowing whats coming for all this Hw content once it hits finally decided to do some catching up. So I just finished Alex 1 - 12 story yesterday enjoyed the story enjoyed most of my runs for the most part as well it was a nice mix up of things. But I want to start Savage this month and finish up the rest of the hw ex primals as well so far only finished bis and ravana. But just wanted some general tips to Alex Savage getting started Ill be starting out as tank my defacto main now is pali but Ill be starting to play warrior more.

Because I know damage is key in raids and its not a whole lot of guides out on paladin up to date , and theirs a really good one on warrior by xenos so Im hoping that if I follow his tips I can play even better as warrior. I do plan on running all my jobs through the content at least some of it just for variety. So sense Im late to the game Ill mostly be using raid finder, and hopefully get help from my fc but more than likely raid finder. So just wanted to know what are the hardest fights currently and which ones will be the most challenging to do in raid finder.

And the big thing with all content in the game with being late to the party ,the best way to learn without being a burden on the party even tho Im fresh to the content. Like are there similar mechanics in some of the extreme primals that would be a good place to learn and start? Oh yea and what gear level should I have for each tier currently at 240 but will upgrade soon, and best melds for pali and warrior

I'd recommend trying out all the Ex primals from Heavensward first using PF. Thordan gets steamrolled now, but I think the other "newer" ones still require respect for mechanics. Check videos before going, and put the PFs for learning parties.

Otherwise, start at A9S and go from there - it'd be difficult to find people for A1S-A8S (other than steamrolls for light on A1S).

for melds for your PLD all your accessories should have str materia on it. Now for stats usually it should be crit and det. With the currently lvl gear you should meet the acc cap for A1S-A12s. War maybe the same thing but i dont really main war (unless it changed)

First off, get your gear up at this point there's really no excuse to be 250-260, from there meld for you stats (as a dps main I cannot advise on tank melds but I will suggest look at top tanks and see how their gear meld is set) from there run mechanic heavy ex primals, thordan, sephirot, etc once your comfortable with mechanic recognition go to SSS and fight those dummies as it were the only thing to do in the game, once you can kill the 9s and 10s dummies within a reasonable time (i.e. with spare time left on the clock) then I would attempt the actual floor starting with 9s. It seems like a long process before actually getting to content, but the fact is as this content ages more people are looking to perfect the fights instead of learning them especially 9 and 10 as many consider these floors almost faceroll.

First off, get your gear up

I just finished story recently so I been working on my gear bit by bit, will be farming the normal version of xander working on my script gear, and running the 24 mans to upgrade to 270. Just unlocked everything pretty much, but I also play dragoon as well as my main melee dps, would love tips on your goon rotation I found one on youtube by a guy named dervy. I heard A 9 s was pretty easy, Im not sure about ten havent heard much about it. I been tryin to que for thordan in rf but its a pretty long que so ill just have to maybe try pf , the main issue I have is all pf for these are clear parties or farm parties I use duty finder because I assume nobody wants to do a learning party for anything but zurvan if him anymore at this point on your note about how quickly content ages.

@OP - this one. so you can train yourself also with mechanics awareness which you will need in creator savage. also you might want to start off with the zurvan i265 since it will be the highest ilvl weapon you can have atm without doing anima/relic ( since gobdip is from a11s only atm ) - it's to help you in holding enmity longer against fully geared DPS
