Another Pagos Feedback Post

So at the risk of getting bullied for 'complaining' I'm going to offer the feedback someone who works a full time job, has a family and has been playing since 1.0.

First and foremost, because this is what some LOVE to hassle people about, I'm not opposed to the grind. I've completed multiple relics in ARR and HW and spent hours in Anemos actually having fun and I'm 4 lvls short of having my main at 70 on everything. I don't expect anything to be handed to me. Period, end of story.

I don't mind working for things. I enjoy the challenge, what I don't like is what Pagos has done to me. I HATE it with a fiery passion; to the point that I've just given up at lvl 35 with 2 Louhi ices, 11 frosted and 488 Pagos crystals.
The thought of going back knowing that I'll spend 3 hours killing the same mob over and over and over again while seeing maybe 5 Fates, is disheartening. (yes, this is after the supposed NM 'nerf')

And on top of that the idea of getting more than one relic is out of the question. (Here's where I'm going to be told to do Savage content - and here is where I say that I do and it isn't really about the ilvl of the weapon, but rather the fact that I got a cool shiny new sword)

I would assume that the idea for the low drop rate of EVERYTHING is that this is only for the weapons and to keep people busy between content lulls, but this isn't fun. This is another job and not a fun one. This is that soul stealing job you've been looking to leave forever and just can't seem to find a new one.

If this is supposed to be the 'alternative' method for getting higher level weapons for people not wanting or able to do Savage (some people can't fit raids into their schedules), then Pagos really isn't going to fit well with them. One of my FC people said that if you straight up did nothing but grind light, you could get 1 to 2 frosteds and hour, best you can hope for it is 15.5 hours. More than likely you are looking at something more in like with 29-30 hours. This is a job.

• Light needs to be seriously rethought. I just reached 35 and have 11. We should at least have enough for 1 relic by the time we hit 35. I would be far less disheartened if I wasn't looking at another grind on top of the grind to 35.
  
• Louhi Ice - why 5 and have him drop 2??? This makes no sense, what are people supposed to do with that extra ice? Get another relic? ((see comment about light))

I want to fuss about Pagos crystals, but really, by the time I manage to amass enough light for one weapon, I'll have enough crystals.


((oh, and I could deal without the one way cliffs in the new Eureka, even at 35 they are torture))

That's because you used NMs to level instead of chaining. Those that chained had about enough frosted crystals as they reached lvl 35.

That's not factual. I did a lot of chaining before the NM EXP was tripled, and I didn't get a single thing from any of that. I'm level 35 and I just hit 400 snowflakes and I'm at 10 1/2 cheez-its

Nope, I did the vast majority of my leveling on chaining, 2.5 challenge logs and some NMs.

You need groups to chain. I didn't play every single day when Pagos came out. So I got a few levels behind everyone else. When I did start to actively play every night and prior to the NM changes, I spent 5 days at level 28 because I couldn't get chain groups or they would split after a single run to 30. I had trouble putting my own together, because the instances were top heavy, so finding people behind like me was very difficult. The content was already starting to die. Now that the NM train is back, chain parties are pretty much nonexistent unless they are max level for light. So for many players, you're not going to level up if you don't use NMs.

I did nothing but chaining and when got to level 35 still lacked 11 frosted crystals and 100 pagos crystals to get my first weapon. Weekly log for pagos should be changed to give out frosted crystals once your level 35. Light need to be really buffed or lower amount frosted crystals you need for each weapon.

Yes! It would keep the challenge log as something viable to do, because as of right now, no one at 35 is going to touch it.

Yes, Exactly! A bunch of us were really disappointed with the whole quest line and at 35 we were like, 'did anything actually happen.'

Literally nothing happened in Pagos. The sole revelation is that the vague thing Anemos mentioned that Galuf sealed was revealed to be a Primal. Aside from that, the most plot relevant scene was Ejika stating he was jealous of Krile and the WoL.

The next patch trailer showing

makes me think the developers want me to believe something is going to happen next time, but after two instances of fluff, I'm beginning to become skeptical.

I'm considering dropping more than just pagos like a hot popoto LOL if this is how it's gonna be from here on and the content of 4.4 doesn't get my interest back (cause pagos really burned my interest quite a bit) I'll most likely end up dropping the game as much as I like it..the content being like this is just off putting.
