    Hiding repeatable quests

    Hello!

This might seem like an odd request but as someone with gaming OCD who has to clear every map of every quest, I find myself wishing that I could have a display option that can turn off the repeatable quest icons on my map/minimap... simply for the satisfaction of seeing a completely blank map lol. Particularly in Mor Dhona/Idyllshire. The NPC would still have the marker over their head,

I understand something like this would be low priority but surely I am not the only one who would like the option to hide quest markers on the map?

As I stand looking out from my window, I reminisce about the old days and the many ups and downs of my adventures throughout Eorzea.
It is then that I know achievement.

I can relate, but for me the annoying bit is seeing those quest markers on the NPCs, not on the mini-map. When I see an NPC with a quest marker over their head, it makes me feel like I should be doing something about it - but in the case of the NPCs in Mor Dhona these quests are for a relic quest that I will frankly never touch again.

I wouldn't mind seeing a toggle that hides repeatable quests, both on the NPCs and on the maps. Probably shouldn't hide markers for quests that you've never done even once, though.

I think adding this to the feature would be a good idea, but otherwise I can imagine the feeling you can never "finish" the area would slowly get to one lol.

I had a glitched out icon in my Witcher 3 map when I had completed a region, every time I saw it I was like Noooooo! That Island is perfect! I did it! Stop game, STOP! haha.

The main obstacle is that some repeatable quests are mandatory. You get the achievement for the recent seasonal event, for instance, through the completion of the daily quest associated with the event.

I usually just grab the repeatable, then toggle it to hide on my duty list. Granted, this still leaves them with a green or red icon over their heads, but at least it's not telling me there's a quest I can grab!

Do you never hit the 30 quest limit? I think this would be a fair solution if they substantially increase the number of quests you can hold, perhaps add a few filters to the quest list (one specifically being repeatable quests that has a toggle as: repeatable on, repeatable off, repeatable non-completed only on).

No, not really. I tend to do quests soon after I accept them rather than letting them sit around in my log (besides these ones). There's also only about 7 infinitely repeatable quests too if I'm not mistaken, leaving you 23 quests to handle whatever comes in a new patch.

Sometimes I'm busy so I just grab all the beastmen quests one day and finish them the next, so I need a bunch of available slots - and of course then I have a load of job quests and goof quests that SE has added.. So I occasionally hit the 30 limit, having to drop that one fishing quest I've yet to do but want to do at some point lol.

So to me, if I was someone who wanted to hide a repeatable but had to spend the 30 quest space to do it.. I might not find that as the most optimal solution. But if I had like 50 slots or something like that, It'd probably work fine for me (at least lol).

Yes I hate both on the mini map and above their head. I really hope Redmage questline or any future questlines doesnt start or go to Mor Dhona, it would be such a pain.
