Can we please just increase the post character limit or remove it entirely?

vBulletin has this limitation option to prevent spamming. but on this forum, it's one active game account per one forum account so I don't think anyone will spam advertisement or rubbish post just to lose their account.

Yes, it just adds an annoying extra inconvenience when posting anything longer than 'me too'. Every day we have newcomers confused by it. Since it's easily circumventable anyway by editing I just don't see the point. Ending this response now to avoid hitting the character limit on my phone

I'm on board with this. I remember awhile back when SE was wanting player feedback about the jump potions I wrote a really long peice (like a full page and a bit long) in detail with all my thoughts and opinions on the matter, but when I came to post it, surprise surprise "Your post is too long, please edit this to be short enough to water it down so much that it becomes worthless kthx." At that point I got super cranky and was like "you know what **** it, here's a link to a google doc with the post I wrote, if you care about my opinion devs you can look at it, because I'm not cutting out 80% of what I said because I have a character cap - if you ask for feedback, don't cap how much we can give."

As you can tell i'm not at ALL salty about that :P
So yes i'm totally on board with this, it's just such an unnecessary restriction.

I've asked for this on so many different ocassions in so many different topics, and by now, I have kind of given up hope...but still.
Please. Please remove it. It's bad for everyone, and even worse if you are using the mobile version which doesn't even allow edits.
I'd like to see that fixed too, btw. And how the forums auto-delete the signature if you edit your post too quickly.

Basically, I'd like to see a real rework of the forums for Stormblood, getting rid of limitations that were put in place back when it was a beta forum, and never lifted since then.

I would multiply the character limit by 5 if possible, just to cover pretty much anything people want to say but still restrict anyone from spam-pasting giant text walls that take all day to scroll through.

honestly most replies seem to be around 2k-3k long, besides those reply to 10 people posts some people do, id be ok with 3k limit plus edit
