Please make PotD cross data center

I don't know about anyone else but since the new party finder i only see PotD groups in the cross data center option. Never in my own world. This is extremely frustrating as whenever i look for a group so we can try and get to floor 200 they always bail.

Even if you don't please remove the fact you all need to be in Quarrymill. That in it's own right is quite annoying as then you just get people crowded round the NPC

You can make friends in game that are on hugely different gameplay times, so making three friends that play all at the same time can be a bit annoying. So yeah, it can take 8+ hours to make 3 friends who play at roughly the same time.

I could definitely get behind this... I still haven't reached floor 200.

I attempted some runs with randoms from party finder several times, and even with all the bravado, all those groups eventually had to take a break and only a few of them actually were able to reconvene and continue the run on another day.

Realistically, 101-200 is ten floor sets, and each can take somewhere between 25-45 min to clear (though I've had some go to the wire before too). A lot of it is heavily dependent on RNG. Recovering from a string of bad luck can eat up the clock... So it could take somewhere between 4-8 hours just to clear 101-200.

Personally, I think 51-100 is super easy now as long as everyone already has +99/+99 gear... which I think they should if they're seriously trying to get to 200. And I've been able to consistently clear those sets in less than 30 minutes with most of my random groups. That's still another 2 /12 hours to add on to the total time even at 25 minutes though.

So estimated total time to complete 51-200 would probably be somewhere between 6 1/2 hours - 10 1/2 hours. Without taking breaks into account. I don't think it's something that can be done by most ppl in one sitting... and yeah, finding the 3 other ppl with the drive and schedule to make multiple attempts at it (in case of failure in the upper floors) on a single server has been a bit difficult for me.

It isn't supposed to be, and not everyone is expected to be reaching floor 200. That isn't the purpose of the content. It was stated time and time again that only the first 50 floors were for story before release, then it turned out we got a bit more to it out of the second 50, but floors 101-200 are for people who want a challenge, and it's explicitly designed both for dedicated groups AND features a firm game-over state.

I said nothing about making the actual content any easier. I think it's fine the way it is.

But the process of creating groups to attempt to tackle said content should be made easier. That doesn't trivialize or "casualize" the difficulty of the actual content. It would just give more ppl the opportunity to actually try to do it.

I'm in Ragnarok and almost all my friends in Moogle, the only way to see +101 is a cross-server PotD, make it happen.

The thing is though: Putting this content into DF (aka: the only REAL way to make it easier to find people to do it) WILL eventually open the floodgates for nerfs. There are two topics on that issue in the dungeon-subforum.
Cross-realm-PF for it could tackle the problem a bit but at the end of the day I'd say it boils more down to someone probably playing on the wrong server for their timezone if they cant people to run content with.

Lets not forget, that you
1) can take breaks - so you dont have to play 8 hours non-stop and
2) dont need to go in with 4 people (why are people always forgetting that? Honestly, that content is supposed to be a challenge - if you want to do it, you should want a challenge, so ultimatly you can also make use of the feature to go in alone or just with one or two other people)
