Without the developers making changes to their games, all Sony can do is post-rendering enhancements. So I think it's similar to using nVidia control panel settings.
I know this'll cause frictions but I wonder when they'll drop full console support or at least put them on seperate servers from PC as I feel it's not only affecting the games ability to progress performance wise but the community is seeming to be getting worse due to none typers its becoming wow with better graphics and I feel the consoles add a barrier between players and communication.
You may want to switch h to another MMO then.I know this'll cause frictions but I wonder when they'll drop full console support or at least put them on seperate servers from PC as I feel it's not only affecting the games ability to progress performance wise but the community is seeming to be getting worse due to none typers its becoming wow with better graphics and I feel the consoles add a barrier between players and communication.
With all respect for your point of view. But what you say is way ready for the trash can.
All the design choices they make for 2.xx 3.xx 4.xx is all in mind what went wrong with 1.0. A game you could only play with a beefy PC and where the server could crash anytime. Now they want many people as possible and even weak PC can run the game.
There is no barrier between players. People talk with keyboard or with the Voip clients. If people dont use something its there choice. I know people who dont talk on ps4 and PC for many reasons. One of them is people who think they are more important or toxic peeps.
It's time to stop being suprior with your pc.

I'm not being superior at all if it has nothing to do with platform this game is on a very slippery slope down the path of WoW which it's community at the best of times is a cesspool it all started with silence and no respect for other players, even a simple hello eases the tension in the air of a group.. I mean how hard is a hello? With all respect for your point of view. But what you say is way ready for the trash can.

Just like in reallife people are social or not. Respect yea... on the internet is a hard thing. People hide behind there screen and can hurt people more easy. There is no penalty. It's general problem with internetI'm not being superior at all if it has nothing to do with platform this game is on a very slippery slope down the path of WoW which it's community at the best of times is a cesspool it all started with silence and no respect for other players, even a simple hello eases the tension in the air of a group.. It's sad but very very true, Ijust find the game more fun with people it's why I play because I love getting to know new people.
Oh really. I have long loading times in packed areas. Limsa and Shire can take 40+ seconds when its peek time and bursting. Other places can feel long too.My normal PS4 runs the game just fine, though I'm guessing for Stormblood they might be planning to up the ante a bit since PS3 is out of the loop, so getting a PS4 Pro might seem more appealing if it becomes apparent that the game is being held back a ton by limitations.
I've seen comparative footage of other non-Pro games with the new boost mode and what it basically does is make sure the game loads faster, runs smoother and has less framedrops. A game that has some situations where framerate may drop at or under 20 fps would stay stable instead. To give an example, think of looking around in a game that would normally cause the camera to turn around choppy now remaining smooth. The mode literally just unlocks the rest of the resources and processing power that are artificially limited right now on the Pro for non-Pro games. However, because of that it might be the case that some games either start glitching or run too fast maybe if they've never been artificially limited. I'm afraid it won't suddenly increase lightning- and/or texture quality and such in your old non-Pro games, it just makes sure they load better and run more stable (in theory). Unless of course the creators of those games unlock said features with a Pro update.
