    FFXIV Crashing PC

Hi. I've read through most of the forums on FFXIV crashing after the 3.5 patch update and I've tried the various "fixes" but it's gotten me nowhere. I can only assume my issue is Direct X related but I can't be certain as I have the same results in Direct X 9 and 11. I do not get a warning, an error message or a blue screen of death when FFXIV crashes, it simply crashes my whole computer forcing it to restart. I don't have to be doing anything for it to crash. I've been harvesting, teleporting, putting items up for sale and even just standing still doing nothing. There is no time frame for how long I'll be in game when it does it. Sometimes I'm in it half an hour and other times less than five minutes. The only thing I can tell you is that it only does it when I play FFXIV. SWTOR, Conan Exiles, 7 Days to Die and ARK all play fine on my system. Any help fixing this would be greatly appreciated as I'm about to the point of not logging in. I can't afford for FFXIV to crash my system at a bad time and screw something up forcing a loss of information or a whole computer wipe.

When you say your computer completely crashes, can you explain? If it's a DX9/DX11 error like I'm having (I've been forced to DX9 because DX11 crashes) then you'll receive a video error. This means your monitor freezing, your screen going black, and your computer becoming unresponsive. Your computer should still be running when this happens though, forcing you to manually restart it with the power button. If your entire computer crashes and turns off though, I believe that issue has to do with your CPU and/or PSU.
