Why FFXIV is losing me :,(

Not saying this to be rude but is the server party finder not working again? This is exactly why I said this before and will say it once more. Raid Finder is pointless. Raid Finder is a simplistic version of Party Finder with lock features. If SE just allowed duties to be ran in duty finder, players can have practice and not be suffering from the "I'm late to the party" syndrome most of us who play other games get.

The thing is, this "lock feature" is actually what makes the Raid Finder worthwile. Without it, people would still not use the Duty Findet to tackle new content, they'd only go to the Party Finder...with silly requirements.

Besides, if we're talking really "late to the party", like "I want to clear Second Coil Savage for the first time 6 months before Stormblood" the duties are in the Duty Finder. But there's no incentive of doing them for veteran players...

That's why I suggested a bonus for "returning" to a duty. If you want to farm tomestones, you'll only do the fastest way, sure. But if every duty has a one time bonus after a month-old clear, then the fastest way will shift constantly until you run out of bonuses.
