Why FFXIV is losing me :,(

Maybe try a new data center? Since the cross world pf I've managed to find groups to clear t6s - t9s, and they can actually all just be burned down. t7s we still had to do the very first voice lookaway (only affects three people), then is straight burn, and t9s you still cant put meteors together, like in normal, but is just burn after that

still feels a bit hollow to have cleared them this way, but meh

No one is stopping you from opening your own party.
On my data center, at least 1/3 of Zurvan parties in pf are learning parties, and there are tons of parties for old content, unsynced, sure, but still.
Lots of people still farming old primals for ponies, tons of people doing it for Khloe, even Battle on the big bridge got a card farm party the other day.

If you want to do it synced instead, again, OPEN YOUR OWN PARTY.
I refuse to believe you are the only person on your entire data center who wants to try old content synced.
Heck, we even have entire Linkshells dedicated to clearing content synced on min ilvl. The "reason" you complain about is entirely self-made.
This has literally nothing to do with vertical progression. Players will always gravitate towards what is the easiest/fastest to do and gives an adequate amount of rewards.
Just how there are tons of Garuda EX farm parties for Nightmare and tank mounts but not a single one for Ifrit EX or Titan EX - because they offer the same reward but are a lot harder to do.
Blame human nature, if you must.

Make one of your own and stop waiting for someone else to read your mind and create a group for you.
It's simple as that.

While I do agree that old conent should be somehow revitalized in someways (possibly with other ideas rather than just ponies or birbs), at the same time this is a good example of "Quantity vs Quality" and how the game has so much "stuff" but with really poor quality behind them, to the point of forcing people on redoing them with cheap tricks (Relic, WT, Materials, crafting recipes that shouldn't exist, you name it).

Now granted I can speak mostly from a dungeon perspective, because I raided only in ARR and I definitely didn't enjoy them, but even the new raids aren't anything special because not only they aren't rewarding (why bother raiding when you can grab the best gear in the game with weekly stuff? Unless you want BiS, why should you care?) but also badly tuned and basically "worthless" (Alex Creator took apparently 2 days to be cleared, however the first 4 floor were so hard that lead to many disbands due to A3S, and the next tier was also badly balanced as A6S was harder than A7S - which was fixed later). The best way to revitalize old content like that isn't to raise the ilvl required and stuff, but - shock & gasp - actually making them worth the time to rerun them.

Want some simple solutions? Achievements for dungeon/raids with meaningful rewards (not just ponies), or speed run mode where you must beat a boss under a certain time with a certain ilvl which in return gives some good loot or glamour (again, not just ponies). These could also be applied to dungeons with ease but let's face it, they won't do it and old content will rot in their corner, with only the new players doing them for the sake of story mode (and let's face it, they might even have a hard time someday in the future, but hey story is important am I right lads?!).
In all honesty I gave up on this game, as I'm just trying to clear zurvan and go back where my friends are, since nobody I know plays the game anymore and if they aren't bothering, why should I?

I refuse to believe that there aren't any learning parties in the new PF, else open your own.

I tend to spend hours to find a training group for Zurvan and I'm on Balmung. However thanks to the cross realm thing this issue has been solved but if it wasn't for this feature, I would be stuck at nidhogg to this very day.
However believe it or not, training groups are extremely scarce, even for Alex (which I don't really bother but i occasionally check). Feel free to discard this or not.

Oh you can form a learning party but are bound to always get someone who wants a learning party to be a farming party. Somehow.

Unless you have a FC that wants to learn the fight with you it's gonna be hard to find one.

I understand a bit what you mean, the best option would be to find a nice group from a LS or FC that shares the same interests so they can and want to go with you. It's kind of a rare situation but there are so many people in so many servers, you could at leat try that way. Best of luck!

I agree there are some older content that isn't run a lot. Whenever I put up a PF for old coil there are always a few who join want to do it. Might take longer but still works. I think LS or FC is best bet though. I have helped clear many people interested in old content. People ask and we set time aside. As for zurvan learning/clear/farm seems to be all the same. I wouldn't stress over it too much people get way too angry there. :3

To befair without sound toxic to people is that try be with your friends to stuff together.
I do that we aren't top players but we have fun and able to do some progress here and there and still have a laught.
Even tho i took half year break and i feel i have so mutch Catch up.

in all fairness i can see diadem rework using the random roll for gear again though, though prolly not on ilvl (as in it wont be higher than current alex savage) Though maybe it will for the "bosses" and the real gate there will just be quantity of participants.
