I remember that thread! Someone suggested lore wise to have a tanning booth in the game that can change your skin tone! Even if the skin changing feature was just limited to only a few lighter or darker skin tones for your character to switch to, it would be seriously helpful in the sort of situations you just said! Sometimes, I think my Miqo'te girl is a bit too pale and would love to make an improvement on her skin. ^^;
