I feel that some of the requirements to catch the 3.5 fish is absurd, especially with short amount of time.

There's one fish that has a 60 second intuition in a 2 hour window. I've been trying to catch this one fish the past 5 days, I already lost count of how many bluescript baits I bought just for this fish. I wish the producers would extend the intuition time a little longer I feel 60 seconds is too short, once the 60 runs out you're done for the day and have to wait the right weather again and fish window to open again.

There's another fish with the same issue, but it requires you to catch 3 extremely rare fishes to get the intuition and it gives 120 seconds for you to get lucky again and catch an HQ fish to mooch the bigger fish. No amount of gear/meld can help with this, it's pure RNG what fish or quality you get....

The worst part arent the conditions itself, its the fact that they still escape with a 90% rate. It took me 7 bites of problematicus to finally reel it in. A friend lost it 9 times and didnt get it yet.

same with opabinia...3 bites and got away 3 times.

Sea Butterfly is one of the easier ones, it takes like 2 minutes to get the buff, you just show up and leave after 5 minutes, theres no time effort involved. Problematicus and opabinia require you to invest 30-60 minutes of preparation for a single 1-2 min buff, which is waaaayy worse imo. Btw, you can use Patience II to always get 3 HQ crabs, once you have intuition

funfact: you cant catch those fish in HQ with 640 perception, they'll always be NQ, even under the effect of patience II

What fish are you trying to catch?

Sea Butterfly, I've been trying for the past 5 irl days (3-5 tries a day depending on weather conditions and every time is a miss) I get to the location 5-6 ET hours earlier to prepare myself and wait until 6am to catch the last fish for the buff. I tried this 6am ET & 7am ET all gives me the same result, I catch nothing but vampiric tapestry or fleece stingray until I lose my 60 seconds buff, it's game over... I have to wait for another weather to redo this.

I'm also have a hard time catching with opabinia, this is going to be a huge pain.
I read that it's a very short window maybe a hour window, you have to mooch HQ to catch 3 rare fishes in order to get a 60-120seconds buff to get another HQ silverfish to try to mooch the bigger fish with maybe a hour window. I'm pretty sure I'll be going over 2k baits for this one, the chances of catching HQ Silverfish is already extremely rare, mooching the 3 fishes is even worse.. I've tried to get the 3 fishes required it's just awful, I've spent at least a hour to only get 1.

Riddle is also extremely bad (the weather happens once or twice a week based on my observation) the buff is ok at 4minutes but no amount of HQ food or meld can help you catch HQ crab, I tried to catch this fish 4x in the past 3 weeks, today I saw the window again and I tried, couldnt land HQ crab.. I keep getting the lava crab

I have yet to catch problematicus, it's so rare to even land a fossiltongue I tried a few times... its so RARE!

you dont have to mooch proto hropkins, I usually catch 1-4 per window directly with fiend worms

I dont even reel silver fish or azys fish in, just wait for a medium tug at 20+ seconds and let everything else escape

So you release silver fish? what if you get an HQ silver fish will it auto release if I release silver fish? I have never done this method, but I'll try... someone said that you don't need Fish Eyes for Proto Hropkins, have you confirmed this or do you use Fish Eyes? Do you have any tips for fossiltongue? Its so rare to land one

So you release silver fish?

What he means is that you don't reel in the trash fish at all when it bites. You just let it eat and then get the message "You lose bait..." It speeds up the overall 'catch rate' when you focus on catching only certain type of fish. I do that as well when there's fish that I know how long it takes for it to bite or it's a direct catch big fish. With Fisher's Intuition and weather, certain ingame hours and what all combinations every second counts.

This trick is not working out for me Azysfish have a medium tug.

Update, I finally got 3 and got the buff, do you know if it's required to have Fish Eyes for Opabinia? The buff is a 60 second buff

all intuition fish dont require fisheye. Get the buff, use cordial, patience II and you have up to 2 tries to mooch it
